Editorial Reviews

This is the best album of La India and also one of the best things of Tito. Backed by the master of Latin jazz, La India outdoes herself with soulful renditions of old jazz classics.

This is a great album. One of my favorite vocal albums. Great arrangements by the great Tito Puente and wonderful, soulful vocals by the magnificent La India. I first listened to this album when I was in high school, about 7 years ago, and was just browsing around on Amazon and came across it. Immediately the arrangement of "I Think I'm Going Out of my Head" came to mind. The arrangement on here made that song into one of my favorite songs. The big band is poppin' and the percussion solos are enough to make you move, whether you are in or out of your seat. Great latin arrangements of jazz standards, and a strong, soulful voice from La India.

I was a bit sceptical when i bought this record because i only knew india from her salsa work. But i have to say that is one of my best jazz-vocal records. The combination of India's voice the intenes playing of Tito Puente is just great. The selection of songs is very good ranging from romantic to dancing. Altogether a great record!

This is the best album I heared of La India and also one of the best things of Tito. I would like to hear more of this kind of songs from La India. The salsa-stuff is a little bit booring, from the creative point of view, I think.

This cd contains a many of great artists and musician such as the Count Basie Orchestra and the Tito Puente Latin Jazz who accompany a great artist and singer of salsa-pop 90 with was 'La India', powerful voice and e visceral interpretation. Excellent musical production, large jazz themes. Singular interpretation of the theme ' What a Differece to Day Made' that your unique bolero tempo here left to become an aggressive latin jazz sung. Unique cd.

Backed by the master of Latin jazz, La India outdoes herself with soulful renditions of old jazz classics. I'm 24 and the music has as much appeal to me as the more modern salsa of today. A must have!
