"Might be one of the best things Tara has written. It was laugh out loud hilarious almost the whole way through. And when I wasn't laughing- I was aroused by the naughty sheriff. And through all the humor and ridiculous antics- the message against domestic abuse comes out strong and powerful. Women are beautiful and powerful and funny and together- they can do anything and survive anything." ―All Romance Reviews
"It's Tara's best work to date - love, humor, mystery & muskrats. It has it all!" ―Aleatha Romig, New York Times & USA Today Best Selling Author
"HILARIOUS. Tara Sivec knows funny and sexy and she executes it perfectly, but this time with a dash of mystery that kept me turning the pages to find out who really did kill Jed. Thanks to Tara, I will never be able to eat another blueberry pie. Must read for 2016." ―Meghan Quinn, Author of The Virgin Romance Novelist
For FISHER’S LIGHT:
"Tara Sivec is a gem of a writer, and Fisher’s Light is a true testament of her talent. Add in Tara’s trademark sense of humor and love scenes hot enough to melt your ereader, and you have a book that you will be thinking about long after the last page!" ―S.C. Stephens, #1 New York Times Bestselling Author

This book was great from the beginning to the end. It should not have any less than 5 stars. REALLY! I wish there were more Payton, Leo, Bettie and Emma Jo stories to come.
Cons. 2 Alcoholic's in the making. But then again if I thought me and my bestie had just accidentally murdered someone some drinking would be a must and expected! So nix the con. :) But this xCon reminds me of the Coffee Cup saying on chapter 33. "A good friend knows how you take your coffee. A great friend adds booze".
OK I had one question that kept popping in my head threw the whole book. . . Where is Jed's family threw all of this? I honestly needed that one answered. Tara?
The cast of characters are hilarious!! Our heroine was all mixed up in a murder she may or may not have committed, even she wasn't sure. Add the no filter, wise cracking best friend Don't get me started on the towns Law Enforcement. A hot sheriff (our hero), a shy love struck deputy and the most dimwitted coroner ever! . All the small town gossips cracked me up! The stories they would spin and filter through town killed me.
A mash-up of comedy, crime, mystery and even a sweet steamy romance. What more can you ask for in a book!
Very reminiscent of the Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich and I LOVE that series!
Leo has changed since high school, he is no longer the skinny geek he once was. Now he is a built, hot as heck, sheriff still holding an infatuation for the prettiest girl he ever knew. This is where I questioned whether Payton would have given Leo a second look if he was still the geeky guy he once was, he admitted to changing to have a chance with her if she ever came back, and I didn't really like that message.
Overall the book was good. It was more quirky than funny.
This book is perfect on so many levels. It is a murder mystery wrapped up in a comedy wrapped up in a hot, steamy romance. The main character goes back to her small home town from the big city to help her longtime friend, and hilarity ensues. Meantime, ole Jed is dead, and everyone suspects everyone else while similtaneously trying to hide their own guilt.
All of the main characters are so loveable, and you inevitably pull for all of them to not be the murderer and have to go to jail. The main character has two Ride or Die best friends, and together they are like Thelma and Louise and Billie Jean Davy all hanging out together. Those of you who were kids in the 80s know what I am talking about... Of course there is also a nerd-turned-hunk love interest, who is smokin' hot. There is a scene up against the wall by the front door...I literally had to fan myself. Meantime, I was trying to stifle my laughter and snorts while reading the book in public.
This book was exactly the mental vacation that I needed. I blew through it in one day. I am going to gift it to several of my friends, so that they can enjoy it, too (and we can discuss it)!
I highly recommend this book!!!
Payton, Emma Jo, Leo, and the town of Bald Knob are hilarious with their antics and when you add in Bettie it just gets better.
Love this story and wouldn't mind hearing more from them.
