Got this for my 4 year old at Xmas. He really likes to play with it & I DO TOO! Only one problem as being mentioned is that the roof of the Falcon pulls up & if opened too far, pops off and is hard for toddler to pop back on. Does not break & is a fairly sturdy toy. I liked the toy so much that I wanted to fix the hinge on the roof so it would not come off.
So I got my drill & one small screw & one of those small, pain in the neck wires that are used to hold many toys in their boxes [Finally something useful to do with those irritating wires that have to be removed from many toys.].
Drill one small hole in the bottom base piece under & between the two silver screws that are in the top piece. The hole should be next to the blue square sticker that has two yellow corners.
Screw the screw in & leave it sticking out just a bit. Now wrap the wire once around the screw & then thread it out to the sides of the plastic strap pieces on either side that have a small hole where the wire can be wrapped around & back down to the screw.
The one wire should thread around on both sides & be wrapped around the head of the screw. Also when doing this make sure the roof is in it's open position at a 90 degree angle & that you make sure the wire is pulled tight down around the screw on both sides.
Once tight I twisted the two open end pieces around each other & cut the wires close to the screw.
When finished there should be two pieces of wire threading up diagnally and around the plastice strap pieces on each side of the hinge.Read more ›
The first time we got it out of the box, I should have repackaged it and returned it. The whole thing opens up clam-shell style, but the hinge holding the top and bottom comes apart as SOON as you bend it back just a smidge too far. This leads to my son running over to me asking me to fix it every 2 minutes. He loves the thing and I couldn't bear to take away his favorite toy because I was NOT going to exchange it. I hoped it was only the lid, but much to my dismay the hatch on the bottom pops off regularly along with the little one person "room" as well. Every part and piece of this dang thing falls off multiple times and it was NOT worth the money I spent. I am planning on super gluing it together to just give him the ship to play with...Save your money for something else, what a waste!!
My mechanically inclined husband was very upset with the way the toy functioned. I was very glad I did not pay this price for it and can return it to a big box store tonight. Even my grandson says "Grandma, I think we need to get something that does not have so many pieces that fall off."
Good luck to those of you who have purchased it for Christmas. :(

This is so great! The brown helmet thing is cheap and broke. The blue helmet jet pack is way better. Read morePublished 12 months ago by Dan Eveland

We love this ship and characters. My son plays with it all day, every day. He is 4 and can open, close, fly it, and have a great time with all of its parts. Read morePublished 18 months ago by Claire Wolan-O'Connor
