I am very impressed with these headphones. They are comfortable, durable, and have good sound quality. All in a very affordable package. I love the simple sleek design with a slight edginess in the form of RGB lighting on the ear-cups, which you can turn off if you’d like. There is plenty of cushion in the ear-cups and headband, and amazing isolation. It might be too much. Someone could break in and I doubt I’d notice till they came in to say hi. While they are comfortable, I found the ear-cups to get a bit warm over long periods of time due to not being a breathable material. That’s what you get for isolation though. The mic on this headset is good. It’s one of the best I’ve heard on these cheaper headsets. It is very clear and easy to hear. You won’t have any issues communicating with friends or teammates. The dongle is nice to have and easy to use. It’s nice to be able to adjust sound volume and mic volume on the fly, as well as be able to mute and un-mute the mic with a switch. The cord could be a bit longer, but I can plug it into my keyboard so no big problem for me. Overall cord length is around 6.5-7 feet. All in all I found this to be one of my personal favorites that I have reviewed and I will definitely be using it in the future.

I got these for comfort to use at work: straight USB with a mic and over the ear speakers for comfort. I have tried others and been disappointed in the fragility - most lasted only 3 months or so, but it gave me the experience to say that these are very comfortable. The padding is good, the weight distributed evenly, the microphone clicks when you change the position - all good. I was going to wait to see if it lasts before reviewing, but today when I ask a co-worker for a mic check I was told they were amazed at the clarity of the sound - they even asked for the brand name. I work with people who take calls all day - they know sound. I did not load the drivers 'cause they usually do not work with VM desktops, so this was all the mic mechanics. Nice job!

Update: Just to let you know it has been a couple of months now and this headset continues to preform. The construction has shown no flaws to date.

2nd Update: Still good, still no construction problems. I love these headphones.

3rd update: just bought another set as a gift - VERY well received

4th update: I bought these headphones early 2019, and only now did I start thinking I need to get another set to keep on hand "just in case." The reason? One of the adjustment slides stopped 'clicking.'

Over all this is the most durable headset I have ever had. Yes, I use a stand (like a pro) but the only wear otherwise is some peeling on the padding, and I blame the glasses I wear for that.

Cannot beat this headset for $30!

This is an amazing headset for the price. Very comfortable, easy to access controls. Thick padding isolates outside noise and has a nice tight grip, I have a rather "thin" head, so headphones are typically too large, but these fit nice and snug. The audio was through the mic was clear and everyone in my party had 0 complaints. The remote clip is a great touch and allows users to position it and reduce the weight when moving your head around, though the remote is very light. The RGB Lights are a cool effect, but not necessary IMO.

I would recommend this headset to everyone looking for a USB headset!

7.1 Surround Sound Drivers Discontinued

7.1 surround sound requires membership to Chinese websites- buyer beware

Starting with the bad - The software required to make the 7.1 surround sound work (which was the main selling point of these headphones for me) requires you to go to a Chinese only website. Google translation of this page is poor, and so makes it difficult to figure out which of the 10 download links you need to click. Despite that even if you do figure it out clicking any of the links takes you to a third party Chinese website which requires an account and membership in order to download the software to enable 7.1 surround sound.

I have read in other reviews that there is ANOTHER website you can go to, which is also in chinese, that offers the software for free but it isn't listed in the included instructions. I'm honestly worried about downloading suspicious or nefarious software from a company I have no reason to trust at this point.

- The rest of the review is for the headset WITHOUT the surround sound. So for 30 bucks... Meh. I mean You could pay 10-15 bucks for this quality. It's just stereo sound quality and a cheap microphone. I don't see why you would buy this? Yeah they work but that's it. If the surround sound ACTUALLY worked these would be worth 25-30 dollars.

Final conclusion - Don't waste your money. If you NEED surround sound for FPS gaming or just even want it then these will not do it for you. The sound quality sounds a little tinny, but is otherwise OK I guess but why waste your money?

Best gaming headset I've used in years

I've gone through loads of gaming headsets in the past few years, partially because of wear-and-tear but also because I always feel like the headsets I own are lacking in one way are another. Just as a point of reference, the most recent headset I purchased and used extensively was the Razer Electra. At practically the same price of the Jeecoo headset, the Kraken had worse sound quality and overall weaker bass. It also never felt comfortable to wear during long gaming sessions whereas the Jeecoo headset is hardly noticeable even after wearing it for hours.

The in-line controller is without a doubt my favorite thing about these headphones simply for the quality of life that is provides. Being able to mute my mic and adjust my mic and audio volume all without having to alt+tab out of a game or movie is a huge positive. The ear pads are comfortable and block out most environmental sounds. I usually have a fan blowing full-blast in my room and with this headset I hardly hear it in the background.

I've always found Amazon's Choice products to be hit or miss, but this is one product that they got right. This headset is a steal at this price.
