Living in the tall pines of Wisconsin I enjoy watching God’s hand as He paints the sky at sunset. My favorite book is the Bible. Daily I spend time reading through its pages. In “Jemi’s Noble Quest” I used many Scripture verses to build Jemi’s character. Her struggles are daunting at times, as they are for us today, but she learns to depend on God.
I have seven grandkids. It is a pleasure watching them in their creative play, as they discover the world around them. My oldest granddaughter has become a writer herself. I look forward in reading her first book someday.
Some of my creative thought comes from hiking endless forest paths, planting gardens in spring and snowshoeing on a sunny winter day. Or sometimes, I just plain ponder at sunrise and then put thoughts on paper. Each poem or chapter begins with pen and paper. I’m pretty old school, as my characters first come alive. Then it’s on to the computer and months of endless edits. Writing isn’t for the weak at heart. It’s work!
It’s true “Jemi’s Noble Quest” is my first novel, but don’t shy away from a first time book author. I have been writing creatively for decades. Having written for children, poetic and other publications. It’s been said everyone has a good book in them, at least one! This is the book I poured my heart and soul into each chapter. I hope you have or will enjoy the faith driven characters, the unusual setting and the creative plot.
