The story was well told, when you are done reading this you feel like you were along for the ride.
I have donated a copy to our local school library as I think students would find this easy to read and interesting.
Jerrie wanted to fly airplanes since she was a child and eventually decided to try and fly around the world.
Spoiler- she succeeded.
Why don’t we all know her name and story? It’s a combination of the fact that she did it for herself and not publicity and I think the period in which she flew. In any case, for kids that are into aviation, this book gives a fascinating narrative of her journey around the world.
I borrowed this book from the Chicago Public Library to review it for the Cybils Awards.
