I bought these lower price brushes to use in paper marbling but took a break from marbling. Instead, I decided to try them in applying details with standard watercolor. I was surprised at the quality. They are not a brush to use for wet washes, but are best to use at the end of a painting when you’re adding dry on dry fine detail. In fact, they work better for that purpose than my more expensive watercolor liner and watercolor detail brushes. They have very solid, precise tips.

Well let me say I have painted the basic Bob Ross style for years. Recently I have started to move into more detailed painting and was looking for small liners to use. Came across these brushes and have used them alot in the time since I got them. Especially for the price these are excellent brushes for beginners and amateur artist like myself. A pro may scoff at that but who cares. I like them and they perform as desired.

A decent set of detail and liner brushes

I was a bit hesitant initially of this choice for fine and detailing brushes. But most important to me was the set’s variety within a detail set. Everything else sold in sets is far too wide range and purpose or they have way too much repetition within one set. You end up with 5, 10/0 brushes. And / 5 round #8s and larger. I like that I have a set that looks & functions as though it’s thoughtfully put together. The range has purpose and each brush is functional. No 2mm long bristles stuck on fat plastic stick! So it has a nice feel to each brush. All brushes had a decent amount of sizing to hold their point during shipping. Give them a good rinse to get that out before you begin. Lately I have found that brushes arrive without sizing or battered. Usually both. These shipped well. They move paint well and if used properly are excellent liners. They can hold a good bit of paint, & then don’t easily dry out. They also have enough length in their bristles that they continue to hold their point very well over time. I wasn’t crazy about the very thin handles. But I knew what I was getting before I ordered them. Some people love that thin feel in a detail brush. I’m not that guy. I wish they had more heft in the handle diameter. I have also cut that handle length down to something that’s just a better balance for me. But, that’s nothing against this set of brushes. At least I have that option, given their generous handle length. The overall set’s bristle size, type and variety within this detail group was much more important to me than a having a fatter handle.
They're quite good. A good option for a fine point. And paint control. They seem like a group where each brush was individually selected by me for my use.✔️

I am a professional artist. I wanted detail brushes and I know for the cost they wouldn’t last long but these started to lose their form after the first use.. You literally get one use out of them and the hairs start to open up. Not sure if I got a bad batch but these brushes do not hold their shape. I don’t like bad mouthing art companies but you as the buyer need to know what you are buying and a lot of artists don’t have a ton of extra cash to burn.
