The youngest of the Garahan brothers, Jesse is recovering from a recent heartbreak. He is not looking for love, but Jesse falls hard for Danielle Brockway and her adorable daughter Lacy. Danielle is leery of getting involved with another cowboy but Jesse slowly works past her defenses and into her heart.
Jesse Garahan is a hardworking cowboy who has deep ties to the family ranch he works with his brothers. The three brothers love, work and play hard and do not hesitate to work out their differences with their fists. They are fiercely loyal to one another and they love pushing one another's buttons. Jesse lives by a strict code of cowboy conduct and old fashioned values instilled in him by his grandfather. Like his brothers, Jesse is possessive of the woman he loves.
Danielle Brockway is a single mom starting her life over following her divorce. She settles easily into her new life with her uncle Jimmy while trying to plan where her life is going next. She is a dedicated mom who is very protective of her four year old daughter Lacy. Danielle is easily accepted by the Garahan clan and she forms quick friendships with Ronnie and Emily.
Lacy is a precocious little girl who loves all things cowboy and she is smitten with Jesse from their first meeting. Jesse is a natural with children and their scenes together are incredibly sweet.
With a little bit of matchmaking by Emily and Ronnie, Jesse and Danielle's relationship easily transitions from friends to lovers.Read more ›
The lo 've story is intertwined with the boys trying g to keep their ranch going, and doing what's Sr job came along no matter what.
A fast read--a good read.
Danielle Brockway and her daughter Lacy are headed to stay with her uncle in Pleasure, Texas. Danielle and Lacy are in need of a safe place to land after Danielle's husband decided he'd rather live a rodeo life than a family one. Danielle doesn't think she can trust another man with her heart let alone her daughters but it's hard to resist Cowboy Jesse.
C. H. Admirand's Jesse is a sweet romance that will leave you wanting more. I must say I was a little hesitant starting this book because the previous story didn't totally rock my world. However, I am so glad that our print coordinator talked me into giving it another go. Jesse and Danielle sizzle with sexual chemistry but it's little Lacy, Danielle's daughter that steals the show. What can I say I'm a sucker for adorable kids! Every time Lacy says, "Cowboy Jesse" I giggle and I'm left with a case of the "awws." I could not get enough of this little family in the making. I admired Danielle's determination to make a home for her daughter and respected her hesitancy to trust another cowboy so soon after her husband walked out. Jesse is romantic in his pursuit of Danielle's heart and I loved every second of it. Jesse is my favorite kind of western romance!

Seeing the happiness his brothers have found, Jesse Garahan has found life on the Circle G ranch to be a little empty. He's ready for the perfect woman to share his life with, he just doesn't know where to find her. Luckily for him, one day he stumbles upon Danielle Brockway and her daughter Lacy on the side of the road after their truck breaks down. Jesse likes her immediately and he's ready to test the waters to see if a relationship between them can work.
Yet Danielle has just recently divorced her husband, Lacy's father, and she's not sure she can give her heart away to another cowboy again. Danielle may not be ready to give them a chance at happily ever after, but Jesse is determined to show her this cowboy is worth the risk.
C.H. Admirand doesn't just make heroes that the heroine can fall in love with, but the reader as well. Jesse was...well, he was fabulous. I adored his character and his journey to finding true love. His interactions with Danielle's daughter Lacy will nearly break your heart; they are so adorable. Still, if that wasn't enough, you could judge him by the way he pursued Danielle's love. Despite her hesitations to jump into a relationship again, he never pushed her into something she wasn't ready for. He took their mutual attraction and built a strong foundation of trust and respect for a lasting relationship.
Danielle was great, too. Although it's easy to be overjoyed about all the romantic moments between Danielle and Jesse, I was always admiring her relentlessness to put Lacy first. She never did anything without first considering how it would affect Lacy.Read more ›
