Pros (Why You Should Get It)
1) Blue-Letter Text:
This has to be one of the coolest new feature that was added to the bible that I have seen In a while. The Jesus Centered -Bible highlights blue letters to point out reference to Jesus throughout the Old Testament. Overall, they hightlighted 700 letter text blue. On a sidenot, the editors suggested to it's readers when they read to do so using a blue high lighter.
Also, in the New Testament, we do see Red Ink. However, in other bibles, the Red Ink stop after the Gospels and the start of Acts. However, this bible team decided to weave the "red thread" of Jesus through the rest of the New Testament by highlighting in red everytime HIS name is mention.
2. Jesus In Every Book
Think about this for a second. The bible says you must confuse with your heart that Jesus is your personal savior. This bible would let me meet Jesus in a new insightful way. Jesus is our promised Messiah, the one who will save us, and his story is thread that runs through all of Scriptures. His influence doesn't began in Matthew; however, in Genesis we can meet him for the very first time.
3) Re-framing Jesus Insights.
Along with the 700 blue letter text, there is 150 Reforming Jesus Insights. The R.J.I. offer interesting context, great backstories, and penetrating theological insights that highlight the beauty of Jesus threaded through Scripture.
4.The Jesus Questions (TJQ)
One tool that this bible used is to ask over 100 questions... questions about relationship with Him. Every questions were designed to help you slow down and chew on a truth about Jesus and how you relate to him-- and to get you thinking after you moved on. Since I'm a nice guy, I will will give you simple questions:
A)In General, what makes some people open to Jesus, and others closed off to him. The Answer in (1 Corinthian 16:9.)
B)Why hadn't Jesus told us the specific time of his return. (The answer in 1 Thess 5:1-11)
5. Jesus answers life questions....
-What's my purpose?
-Will everything be alright?
-Is God Real?
6. There's an NLT Dictionary/Concordance, and Read The Bible In A Year Plan.
The Cons
1) Text Front is too small for someone with advance eyes.
2) Only come in a 3 formats (Hardcover, Charcoal and Turquoise Imitation Leather).
3)This bible do not offer any maps.
4)No Tumb-Indexed
If I were you, I would get this bible now. My guess is that later they would make a better format of this bible. Maybe I will love for them to make one with size 12 front Genuine Leather Indexed. I believe that would be an great seller.

“Pages too thin” The pages are no thinner than my NKJV study bible. There is no problem reading it. Yes if you hold a single page up you can see through it, but if you read it open laying flat there is no problem. You can see a shadow of color from the comment boxes but it does not hamper from reading at all. My eyesight is not perfect so I would be the first to notice it if it did. I do have one bible with thicker paper, but it is so big I only use it at home as it is too big to take it to church, etc. this Bible is a good compromise between large size and too thin paper.
The pages are thick and sturdy enough for the tabbies I added to it. The pages do not tear when I use them.
“Missed OT references to Jesus” If you read the introduction to this version they state there are more, but they limited it, probably for space/size.
I also love the NT extras. The names of Jesus are red letter, in addition to the words of Christ. There are other boxes and notes that also point to Jesus. Overall a great purchase. I’m really glad I took the chance.
I'm getting used to the NLT version. Personally I prefer the NIV or NKJV, but NLT is easier for teenagers to understand.
Be careful of the little blue box explanations. For example, the first one on page 5 regarding Genesis 1:1. Compare it to Isaiah 43:10-11. Another example would be the box regarding Isaiah 49:5-6 (page 749). Compare it with Isaiah 49:1-3. Who is the servant? My point is that one must read what comes before and after a given reference in order to understand the context of a given verse.
Did Jesus like the law? (Page 164). This box seems to reduce the “massive array of regulations in these first books of the old Testament” (a/k/a the Law of Moses) to the Ten Commandments. See Matt. 5:17-19. You might also want to read Deut. 30:11-16 to see what YHWH (God) had to say about his Law (teaching & instruction).
(There should be 34 chapters in Deuteronomy. However, 24 chapters are missing from my copy.)
As for the suffering servant referred to in Isaiah 53. You might want to read the following references to determine who that servant was. Isaiah 41:8-9, 44:1, 44:21, 45:4, 48:20, 49:3. Psalm 136:22; Jer. 46:27-28; Jer. 30:10, and Luke 1:54.
There are so many issues with this Bible, I could fill several pages. If you have a copy of or access to a copy of Thayer Greek-English Lexicon, there is an excellent explanation of the word “fulfill” as in Jesus “fulfilled” or “accomplished” the purpose of the law. (Matt. 5:17). If you have the opportunity to access a copy, check out word #4137 on page 518.
Finally I would say to the buyer, proceed with caution. Oh, and one more thing, when reading Isaiah 9:6, 7, remember that the name Hezekiah in Hebrew means “Mighty God.”

Helpful thoughts on all the pages, and really shows how the bible is one unified story leading us to Jesus.
