Jesus as the Sun throughout History Kindle Edition

4.3 4.3 out of 5 stars 74 ratings

From the earliest times of Christian history, Jesus Christ has been identified with the sun. This fact is readily demonstrated through the study of ancient texts, including the Bible and works of the early Church fathers, as well as Christian traditions, rituals, architecture and artifacts. From a wide variety of sources, it is clear that associating, identifying and equating Christ with the sun began in ancient times and has continued abundantly over the many centuries since then. Includes many primary sources and quotes from credentialed authorities.

Jesus as the Sun throughout History examines ancient texts, including the Bible and works of the early Church fathers, as well as other writings, art, artifacts and traditions to demonstrate that Jesus has been perceived as the sun, both spiritually and as the actual, physical solar orb, many times over the centuries by numerous people, including religious authorities and common people.

Why were the Christians in ancient times considered to be "sun worshippers?"

Discover how from ancient times Christ was labeled as the "Sun of Righteousness," was identified with Apollo and was depicted as the sun god.

Learn how the "son/sun of God" play on words has been "reveled in" for centuries.

Find out how Native Central and South American traditions equate Jesus with the sun.

Jesus as the Sun throughout History uses primary sources and the works of highly credentialed authorities to demonstrate that the equation of Christ with the sun - both the power behind the sun and the material sun itself - has occurred since the earliest times and is not a "modern" phenomenon.

This ebook contains over 100 sources with 167 foonotes, carefully citing all quotations and references.

    D. M. Murdock's books are all great. As other reviewers have said, her research is vast. It's history you haven't heard about because it doesn't serve the Judeo-Christian story.

Diane died recently - a great loss to scholarship.

I've read the bible cover to cover. Now I look at the bible different. Some people are trying to control the masses. That"s the way the world is. The sun is everything. I mean, I don't pray to it. But if the sun dies... we die. That's why the ancients believed in it.And that's why the sun is talked about it in the bible. Very interesting book.

I really enjoyed this book. It is full of material and references that are in the bible and other ancient writings of the time. Archarya S. has a very unique writing style that is easy to follow. The bible is full of esoteric meanings and Sun Worship is at the core of the Christian beliefs that have been hidden from us but is revealed to us by Archarya in this book. The book is small but is packed with a lot of information, I highly recommend this book for anyone seeking the truth about the Jesus myth.

Excellent read a lot of information concerning the astro-theological origins of today's most popular religious concepts. Jesus Christ of the bible is an anthropomorphic sun God who was later historicized by powerful secret societies and mystery school cults who were looking to out do all other competing sects. This publication gives one a comparative view between Christ of scripture and the actual solar sun.

I enjoyed this book immensely. This is the kind of book that some people will not like because it challenges their beliefs and people don't want to have their beliefs challenged. I recommend this book to anyone not afraid of being challenged.

D.M. Murdock makes a clear argument and she presents specific evidence for solar deities, and their worship traditions, as a foundation for Christianity and The Jesus Myth.

I was expecting more substance to this book. It is very general and lacks detailed analysis in many places e.g, the relationship of the sun to the Christian festivals and the hours associated with the disciples was not really explored.
