A Precision-Rule Measurement System along the rails helps provide consistently accurate results.
Each JET 70460-2 is a well-constructed 60-inch parallel clamp with a deeper-than-standard throat and wide jaw, so it will be indispensable to your workshop. For convenience, the clamps' Slide-Glide triggers easily lock the jaws into place, allowing for smooth movement.
Clever Rail Design Makes Tough Jobs Easy

Ergonomic Design Works for You
The 60-inch parallel clamps feature ergonomic construction that's designed to work for you--not the other way around. Soft SumoGrip handles make the clamps easy to hold, and they also give you increased torque. The clamps do not take much strength to manipulate, yet can clamp up to 1,000 pounds of pressure. For further convenience, each Acme-threaded handle easily turns while applying continuous pressure.
Built for Durability and Versatility
These clamps are built to see you through all of your projects. Featuring a durable aluminum design, superior I-beam construction, and a fully-plated rigid backbone to prevent corrosion, each clamp is built for long-lasting use. Additionally, a non-marring composite resin covers each clamp's jaw face to prevent wear and tear and ensure even clamping pressure.
Very versatile, each 70460-2 is designed with a workable profile that allows you to narrowly clamp on the side of the jaw face. For further flexibility, the clamps' moveable, reversible jaws can be dual-purposed as spreaders.
What's in the Box
JET 70460-2 60-Inch Parallel Clamp (Two Pack)
From the Manufacturer
The JET Parallel Clamps have unique features not found in regular clamps. The design allows for precision and power with exact 90 degree clamping at up to 1,000 lbs. pressure which minimizes the tendency of warping and distortion of the workpiece. The movable jaw can be reversed to change the clamp into a spreader, which makes the Jet Parallel clamp a multi-purpose accessory for the woodshop.

1) I received two clamps
2) I received them in 2 days, but they were in stock when I ordered. Jet has a history of clamp shortages where after a sale it has taken up to 8-12 months for people to finally get them. It has been suggested that these "sales" are really "pre-orders." That maybe Jet is only ordering clamps from China once per year. I don't know if that's true but it would explain the shortages.
The Besseys are lighter, but more flimsy to me. The Bessey rails are more narrow and distort easier. I use clamps to hold a tight 90 degree angle, not bend where ever.
The 60" length of the Jet is just what I have needed for cabinet construction and even from-scratch workbench assembly. My projects tend to be larger than most so these are wonderful. Thankfully, glue removes easily too.

This did not break in transit - the broken off handle was not in the box. Thus, it was clearly not inspected prior to transit.Read more
