Blasts residue from even the most tenacious bottles. Made of durable Brass, the jet Washer is also great for carboys. Contains a Garden hose fitting for utility sinks, other faucets will require an adapter, sold separately.

The best presssure is from the outside faucet, but who wants to wash bottles outside in the winter? After multiple trips, I was able to find an adapter to attach this item to my utility sink. There are also other adapters available on Amazon at good prices, but the reviews are mixed about whether they fit properly.
In my case, I found the adapter at Home Depot in the plumbing department for $4.69. The part is made by Neoperl. It is called a Faucet Adapter with female 55/64"-27 x 3/4" male hose. Works like a charm. I don't get the same pressure that I get from the outside faucet, but it still works well.
1. Be sure you either have or you get a faucet adaptor so it fits onto your faucet.
2. Also, when using this for larger bottles...I use it with gallon jugs as well as standard size wine bottles...it can put alot of strain on the faucet, so try not to lean on the washer too hard, but only enough to make it work.
3. When you remove the bottle after rinsing, the device shuts off the water stream quickly...and quickly enough to jar your house plumbing. I couldn't figure out a way to remove the bottle slowly enough to prevent this. This should be an improvement made soon and hence only 4 stars on the rating.
It is well worth the money and is well built.
There is no better washing system for your kitchen sink that this inexpensive, and deceptively simple device. Do not forget to add the standard kitchen faucet adapter since this only connects to garden hose sized faucets. Also remember to raise the bar before you turn on the faucet in order to keep yourself, the ceiling, and anything in the near vicinity from getting sprayed.
Plus - it's made in the USA in the Great Beer State of Michigan!
I cannot speak to how well it works on a carboy since I do not have one fermenting at the moment, but I will update this as soon as I test how well it cuts through the trub.
