Jill Sadowsky was born in South Africa and has been living in israel since 1963. She has been writing since her son contracted paranoid schizophrenia.
Her second book, DAVID'S STORY, is about a mother who mourns her son's deteriorating mental health. Her daughters are frank about the terrible stigma and horrified when he shouts at their parents; "I'll dance on your graves."
Davod was inducted into the military with the highest health profile one can achieve but on his release three years later with a reduced profile, he was fine physically, but mentally, he was missing in action.
The reason for writing this book is to show other parents out there that a family can cope, no matter how difficult the circumstances. The author is also trying her best to address the blame, shame and stigma associated with mental illness.
