"JIM REEVES: THE NEW RECORDINGS," is a truly NEW 2-CD (144 minute) documentary (produced in 2012), that is based on Larry Jordan's new 672-page award-winning book, "Jim Reeves: His Untold Story." Narrated by Dan Hurst, it features more than 42 songs by Jim, including 20 NEW overdubs of RCA masters fans have not heard before, 11 overdubs of NEW songs and alternate versions that made their debut on VoiceMasters CDs (that are now out of print and/or hard to get in the U.S.), revealing NEW interviews with Mr. Reeves that are making their debut here, NEW in-concert performances by Jim that have never been available, NEW material from his long-lost network radio show, and even a recording Jim made on his bus that until now has not been released. Plus there is insightful commentary from author Larry Jordan. EVEN IF you owned all the previous VM CDs, you'd still get over 112 minutes of NEW music/Jim conversation/and other narrative on these 2 superb CDs. Well worth the cost. The highlight: Some of Jim's best RCA studio tracks have been stripped down, his voice digitally remastered for stunning clarity, and then combined with tasteful new instrumentation (using some of the most talented singers and musicians working today), to give them a fresh sound. You won't believe your ears! Enjoy a captivating and very honest portrait of Jim Reeves based on Jordan's 13-plus years of research, hundreds of interviews, and Jim's own diaries and private correspondence. Total of 86 tracks making it easy for you to access just the music! Click on back of CD for listing of music tracks only. Also, if you order this CD with the book, you can SAVE MONEY. (Search Amazon for "Jim Reeves: His Untold Story (Book and 2-cd Combo)." This really DOES include lots of wonderful *NEW* music by Jim Reeves! Order now as supplies truly are VERY LIMITED!

I always seem to like the original RCA versions of Jim Reeves' music best, but that is my opinion. I believe it to be very hard and next to impossible, to better a master at music and recording such as was Chet Atkins. His accompaniment was minimal, precise, and usually near perfect, and so were the musicians he used on the recordings he produced for Jim Reeves. However, you can buy this CD and form your own opinion.
The overdubbed RCA masters were just breathtaking and I just loved the new facelifts they received.
I also love the fact that I can dance a Rumba, a Waltz, a Fox Trot, a Swing etc. to a good number of his songs which definitely have a pop flair.
Thank you Larry for your time, hard work and dedication in undertaking this wonderful project. This truly is one way to keep Jim's legacy alive, especially for future generations.
A definite keepsake for all Jim Reeves' Fans.
of Jim Reeves are crystal clear. (Often spoken by Jim, himself). The CDs cover a broad spectrum of Jim's too short
life, and a comprehensive history of his marvelous songs and music. If you do not know about Jim Reeves, you
need this CD set. And if you, like myself have been a Reeves enthusiast from day one, you will thoroughly enjoy
new insights and stories told by, and about Jim. Get this set!! I cannot say enough good about the enjoyment I
am having listening to them. Thank you, to all concerned, for issuing this fine compilation.
Larry Jordon: Thank you so much for all your time, hard work and dedication. This truly is brilliant! You must be so proud... I know JIm would have been.
