James P. ("Jim") Tucker, Jr. is an American journalist who formerly worked for The Spotlight newpaper, and now works for the American Free Press. The Preface to this 2005 book indicates, "This book examines the history and actions of the secret group that calls itself Bilderberg and the efforts of one courageous reporter---James P. Tucker Jr., who has been trailing Bilderberg for nearly 40 years---to focus the spotlight on the actions of what many have called 'the world's shadow government.' This is his story."
The book contains Tucker's reminiscences of his experiences attempting to infiltrate the annual Bilderberg Group conference since 1983; it is well-illustrated, and contains many photos of Tucker with famous figures (who, not infrequently, were not pleased to encounter him).
He observes that "Past U.S. presidents---Bill Clinton and Gerald Ford---have attended Bilderberg. But a sitting president cannot because White House paperboys are given his complete schedule each day... There is no way a president can disappear for three days without accounting for himself and if a sitting president attended Bilderberg, even the controlled media would be hard-pressed to explain away the president's absence from the limelight, hidden away behind the locked gates of the Bilderberg meeting." (Pg. 6-7)
He explains, "Every year Bilderberg instructs all staff at the sites to keep mum about the meetings and threatens staff with dismissal if they divulge information to reporters." (Pg. 45) He argues that since Bilderberg proclaims itself as a "Private" meeting, "any U.S. elected or appointed official who attends is bound by oath of his office to either pay for the trip with private funds, or divulge the happenings at the meeting if he is requested to do so... This, however, never occurs. To do so would mean a 'Bilderberg blackballing,' and that official might never be invited again to the annual meetings." (Pg. 58)
He notes, "While the European press has seen the importance of reporting on the world shadow government, the mainstream media in the U.S. still keeps this important matter from the American public. Every year publishers, editors and reporters from the largest newspapers and magazines attend this gathering with the promise that their staff will report nothing." (Pg. 87)
For anyone interested in the Bilderberg Group, this book by the doyen of Bilderberg researchers will be "must reading."
