Top Customer Reviews
I bought it in January 2011, for $130. Price has gone down too much, so I recommend getting this replica even more now!
It shoots about 400fps, It's made of high quality ABS plastic, and has a metal gear. Switchable between single fire or fully automatic. Great for CQB, or medium range shooting roll.
Mine is all customized:
First, I painted it in a desert tan. Then, I upgraded to a precision barrel and changed the hop up, and replaced the wiring and engine to match Lipo batteries. I haven't seen that much improvement in fps, but thanks to precision barrel, the accuracy has increased significantly. I recommend buying the following attachments: a vertical hand-grip, the Leaper's Red Dot sight, and the Electric Battleaxe 1000 rds G36 magazine. This one automatically winds up the ammo, plus you can carry 1000 pellets in the one magazine; Highly recommended as well.
Great gun for beginners and advanced players. Very reliable and inexpensive! By far the best choice! YOU WON'T REGRET!
Overall, the JG G36C is great, featuring a folding stock, real iron sights, and the toughest plastic, ABS, I have ever seen. My friend I'm with thought it was solid metal! I would recommend this gun to anyone. Friend bought one, and he loves his as well. Red dot makes it deadly.
High quality ABS plastic
Decent FPS (about long range CQB or close field)
Okay internals (minus bushings)
Solid mag (though others may disagree)
PRICE- I personally believe it is at least worth 125, if not more.
Uneven shim placing (in mine)
Bad shipping problems (wire tear and shims)
Connectors in wires are not up to date, and are not spade type.
P.S. Beware: The gearbox is highly overgreased with low grade industrial oil-type stuff. I would suggest immediately taking it apart and applying silicone oil or other types of grease (white lithium grease in my case). Another problem with this gun (only with this model, being the old, unimproved base model) is that it has white nylon bushings, which tend to wear, come loose or fall apart. I am replacing mine with Classic Army stainless steel bushings, and also adding shims.
EDIT: After a brief inspection of the gearbox (which I found to be pretty good, actually), I found that the issue was that the shims, supposedly 4 or 5 on each gear, was only about 2 on each. I understand that they are supposed to vary, and that was just an estimate. I ordered some Classic Army solid Steel bushings and some Systema shims, and I should have it ready to go for the weekend.
On my last note...
It was good while it lasted, and for my friend, has taken a great deal of dives, jams, and throws. I would recommend this LIGHTLY if you have a budget suggested by this price. I overall do not recommend JG against any of the higher brands such as G&G, Classic Army (Sportlines NO), G&P, VFC, etc. I have bought myself a G&G Combat Machine CM16 non-blowback. It has 3 pounds less weight, lower FPS (=more internal durability), DECENT accuracy, and the toughest plastic you will ever see. If you have the extra 50 dollars I would recommend both the RK47 and CM16 CM's over this. If you are set, however, on the G36 platform, and are on a budget, this is your ticket. If you have a little more, but are stuck with the model still, go with the H&K Sportline G36c. It has better internals, real trademarks, and a lower "lemon" rate.
That's my input, thanks for giving me your time!
Battery compartment is a little hard to open (but since i'm so used to quickly changing batteries durning battle and in between battles its easy)
No Sling but No problem their easy to find.
O also please don't order from Hot Import Toys they've messed up my previous orders and most of them are broken!! Trust me!!!!
