These mung beans were not good. Didn't take much water at all in the soak. When they sprouted, they had brown spots and were bitter. I tried twice thinking maybe I did something wrong the first time. I sprout mung beans all the time that I get from a local store so I know how to sprout. Anyway, these were a good price but blech.

Nice price for TWO pounds! For this price, you normally see 1lb.
I usually grow them in a colander like container but trying something new and put them in a jar for the last few days. Make sure to keep them in the dark to cut down on any bitterness.
They're sprouting up nicely and taste great!

I was trying to get some mung beans to make a pandan mung bean drink, but my local supermarket had really bad looking beans for twice the cost of these organic ones. I didn't really buy it due to the organic aspect of it, but it's always a nice plus. These beans are not only cheap, but they're great looking. The majority of them were still intact and tasted great. You get 2 pounds for less than 10 bucks whereas my local market sells you 1 pound for 10 bucks.

Very Very Small and Didn't Sprout

These are the smallest mung beans I have ever seen. They are about half the size of a regular mung bean. I tried to soak them overnight (24 hours) to get ready for sprouting and nothing happened. This means the beans were bad / no good. They did not sprout at all...

I wanted to sprout some mung beans instead of buying, so purchased these. The price was great! They were in a vacuum packed resealable bag, and I saw later on YouTube that vacuum packed beans may not be alive because there is no oxygen. But these sprouted nicely. I think I harvested them a little soon, because they were a tad bitter. But they arrived quickly, well packed, and sprouted, so I am pleased.

These are such a great value. I’d say one in a hundred are duds, otherwise they’ve been sprouting very well. I keep them completely away from light, as well as use a container to weigh the sprouts down as they grow up. This promotes a thicker sprout as they push the weight up as they grow, in addition it provides a superior flavor (more sweet, less bitter). Do your homework and watch some videos, otherwise these might turn out “bad”, but they are everything but! I am swimming in sprouts, having fun, and saving substantial funds in the process :)

Would just rot

I have tried growing these several ways, thinking I must be doing something wrong. Each time they would start growing, and would stop after a short while and just rot and smell. Something is off. I give up. I will not buy these again. The other thing I noticed is a lot of the seeds would not even start sprouting. I think perhaps the seeds are old? No idea.
