Joanna Kortink and Greta Noordenbos completed their degree in eating disorders in 1987.
As experts in the field of eating and weight problems, they have written several books on the subject. They recently wrote the book Ending Emotional Eating which has been very well received.
This approach to eating and weight problems was developed according to the latest scientific findings, in collaboration with Greta Noordenbos of the University of Leiden (Psychology department) and is based on years of practical experience.
Joanna Kortink is the founder of Artiva, a center that offers workshops and individual counseling (throughout the Netherlands) to the target group and to professionals. Joanna knows eating problems inside out, because she personally struggled with these for many years.
Greta Noordenbos is associated with the University of Leiden where she researches underlying causes of eating and weight problems such as undermining thoughts, the role of emotions and what conditions are needed in order to recover. She advises the National Board of Health on obesity issues.
