Cupping is an ancient healing technique that dates back thousands of years, all the way to the ancient Egyptians. Although the specific applications vary from place to place, the use of cupping is found in cultures around the world. It is known to have been used by Hippocrates, the Greek physician known as the Father of Modern Medicine, who lived around 400 B.C. It was named as a great medicine by the Prophet Mohammed in the Quran. Cupping has been a part of traditional Chinese medicine since the third or fourth centuries A.D. and is still used regularly in both traditional Chinese medicine and in modern Chinese hospitals.
Cupping works by placing vessels (cups) at specific points on the body and inducing a suction to draw the blood within the treatment area up to the surface of the skin, which results in increased blood flow within the treatment area. As a result of the suction, cupping often causes bruise-like marks on the skin. Cupping garnered worldwide attention when those marks were spotted on the back and shoulders of American Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps at the 2016 Olympics in Rio De Janeiro.
Did you know there are different types of cupping, and that they are used for different purposes? This ancient healing method has been used to treat muscle and joint pain and injuries, illness, and toxicity in the body.
In this book we'll cover:

They all have come to rely on float therapy for soothing aching muscles, improving sleep, enabling recovery, and increasing focus.
This book explores the world of flotation therapy, including the history of its development, its many benefits, what you can expect during a float session, and where you can go to experience it.
At its root, flotation therapy consists of floating on a bed of body temperature saltwater in a light-proof, sound-proof chamber. Float sessions generally last between 60 and 90 minutes and can be life-changing experiences. Research has shown that sensory deprivation therapy using a float tank has great potential for personal growth, healing, alleviating stress and anxiety. improving focus, and treating sore muscles.
Eliminating the external stimuli, floating allows the subject to quiet the brain’s normal responses to the chaos of the everyday world. This lets our brain slow down, re-synchronize with our natural rhythms, and enter a deeply relaxed state. Research has shown that floating has stress-relieving qualities similar to deep meditation in terms of its ability to quiet the emotional centers of the brain. For some people, floating may be accompanied by vivid imagery, creative thoughts, or sudden insights and inspirations.
People who include flotation therapy in an overall wellness program report an array of positive long-term and short-term benefits including greater relaxation, relief from stress and anxiety, ease of muscle and arthritic pain, increased blood circulation, and elevated energy levels and elevated mood through the release of endorphins, the body’s natural “happy pill.” Studies also have shown that floating can be helpful in the recovery of drug and alcohol addiction, as well as in providing support for people suffering from depression. Research also has shown that floating has significant potential as a preventative health maintenance tool.
As the benefits have become more widely known, floating has increased in popularity across society, including in particular the professional sports arena. Such notable sports figures as Steph Curry of the Golden State Warriors, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, and the entire Patriots football team, podcaster Joe Rogan, and Olympic gymnast Aly Raisman have embraced floating as treatment for sore aching muscles, enhancing focus and concentration, and improving the quality of sleep.
This book will cover:
- What is an isolation tank?
- The history of float therapy
- The benefits of floating
- Who uses isolation tanks?
- How float therapy works
- The popularity of floating
- Getting your own flotation tank
- What is it like inside a float tank?

Do you want to learn how gratitude can help you increase happiness, gain physical health, and build better relationships? Download this book now and start reading on your Kindle, iPad, eReader, Mac, PC, Android, or smartphone!
First, what is gratitude?
Gratitude is acceptance and appreciation for what we have and for those around us. It’s difficult to appreciate these things when the ego is in the way. Fortunately, there is a way to control your ego. The important thing is to ask the ego to stand aside to allow the conscious and subconscious to meet. Once they meet, it’s important to ask yourself what makes you truly happy, and make sure to be completely honest. Keep asking why you might feel a certain way and what you can do about it. You are becoming your own therapist and learning more about yourself.
This is what makes gratitude a powerful weapon: It teaches us to let go and to appreciate what’s around us. It is the impulse that leads us to the path of happiness, satisfaction, and true validation.
Many assume that gratitude is as simple as being polite and saying thank you. Your parents often tell you to say thank you when someone helps you or gives you something. Thanking people becomes so routine that we often view the action as just another everyday chore. There’s no meaningful, conscious feeling behind the words. To learn gratitude, we really must think about the steps that people take to help us and others.
Gratitude tends to help you live a happier life. People prefer to spend time with happy people rather than unhappy people. You are likely to attract more people to your life if you allow yourself the happiness of gratitude. You may even find yourself influencing other people and helping them live happier lives!
Gratitude increases feelings of well-being and optimism, makes us more agreeable, and can even better our physical health. They prove that these benefits of gratitude are not just made up by someone trying to hook you; the benefits are real and measurable.
In this book I’ll show you:
- What is gratitude?
- What is gratitude not?
- The benefits of gratitude
- The journey to gratitude
- What you need to practice gratitude
- How to practice gratitude
- Techniques for beginners
- Exercises for the workplace
- How to teach children gratitude
Everyone is in pursuit of happiness. Sadly, many people believe that happiness can only be achieved by acquiring money and materialistic things. We are so focused on chasing after the superficial aspects of life that we neglect the people who truly care about us. However, through gratitude we are able to open our eyes to true happiness. Gratitude helps us let go and appreciate what we have and those around us.

Apple cider vinegar (ACV) is a type of vinegar that is made from apple juice or cider, the alcoholic beverage made from fermented apple juice. It usually appears pale to medium amber in color. ACV is commonly used in salad dressings, vinaigrettes, marinades, and food preservatives.
But did you know it also has countless benefits for body care, beauty, cleaning, and first aid?
Apple cider vinegar contains many nutrients that your body needs: essential vitamins, minerals, organic acids, amino acids, and polyphenolic compounds (micronutrients that help prevent diseases). ACV also contains pectin, which is an insoluble fiber that can be found in fruits and plants. Pectin is rich in fiber, so your body can benefit greatly from consistently including ACV in your daily regimen. It is a good prebiotic, which supports the growth of probiotic bacteria and promotes a healthy gut.
Not only can it be used in a salad dressing and other recipes, ACV also has traits that make it ideal for cleaning your home, tenderizing and preserving meat, reducing the burn of a sunburn, improving acne and dandruff, and protecting your pets from fleas.
But perhaps its most well-known application is for weight loss. Apple cider vinegar is a “superfood” that can aid in losing weight, naturally and safely. Dating back to 3000 B.C., cannabis has been used as a relaxant and pain reliever, both for recreational and medicinal purposes. In this book you will learn everything you need to know about cannabis, including:
- The history of cannabis
- Uses of hemp
- Common myths
- THC vs. CBD
- CBD hemp oil vs. cbd oil cannabidiol
- What are cannabinoids
- How to use cannabis, including edibles, vaporizing, cbd oil
- Marijuana as medicine
- The effects of cannabidiols
- What type of therapy is best for you
There is a lot of information out there about marijuana, and this is good because being knowledgeable helps a person make better choices. Someone trying to decide whether to use medical marijuana or not should certainly get all the facts straight.
This book explains what the chemical component of marijuana called cannabidiol (CBD) is, and how it is used to improve one’s health and treat various medical conditions.
A lot of people mistake Cannabis or marijuana for being just a recreational drug and nothing more. This cannot be further from the truth. While the leaves and flowers of the hemp plant are indeed used to produce pot, these and its other parts — the stems, roots, and seeds — are also made into hemp fiber, rope, paper, building materials and textiles.
Another byproduct of the plant is hemp oil, which can be consumed as food, used as fuel, or made into an ingredient in lotions, cosmetics, and other body care products. Lastly, and of perhaps the greatest value, the hemp plant serves medicinal purposes.
The general perception of marijuana is overwhelmingly negative, as it is well known for being a psychedelic drug. In recent decades, a shift in perception has occurred, and now, more and more people are becoming aware of the medicinal benefits of the hemp plant. The fact is that marijuana has been used for medicinal purposes for thousands of years already. Medicinal marijuana was used in ancient China, and then in other parts of Asia and on to the Middle East and the African continent. Its main medicinal use was as an anesthetic or pain reliever.
The active chemical components of Cannabis are called cannabinoids. We are interested in the cannabinoids because they are the ones that have been tested in laboratories and shown to possess the medicinal properties that marijuana has. Cannabinoids have such a potent effect on the human body both medicinally and psychoactively because they work very much like the natural hormones already present in our body. These naturally occurring hormones are called endogenous cannabinoids or endocannabinoids. They fulfill a useful role in keeping the body healthy; they help maintain internal stability and facilitate communication between cells, in the same manner that brain neurotransmitters function.
While some choose marijuana for its hallucinogenic properties, cannabidiol, or CBD, doesn't have any psychoactive or mind-altering effects, meaning that it doesn’t cause a high.
Do you want to learn the secret of what makes Danes the happiest people on the planet? Then you need to learn about hygge!
Download this book now and you can start reading it immediately on your iPad, Kindle, eBook reader, smartphone, tablet, PC, or Mac!
Despite the harsh climate and long winter months, the Danes and people from other Scandinavian countries are consistently listed as the happiest people on earth. Now the rest of the world is beginning to catch on to this wonderful, fulfilling way of life. It seems to be come down to the concept of hygge — “hoo-guh” is about as close as you can get to pronouncing it in English. Hygge is a Danish word used to express a feeling of comfort, warmth, coziness, or charm. It also is used to refer to something special.
Hygge is not a thing and doesn’t require learning or doing anything exceptional. Hygge can be described as the things that make you sigh contentedly. It is more of a feeling or than an action and more of a mental state than a physical one. It is an approach to life and in its essence it is about harmony. It requires one to slow down, appreciate life, and enjoy being in the present. Normally associated with a social setting, when friends and loved ones gather, hygge also can be enjoyed alone. Hygge is about creating intimacy in our daily lives: with yourself, your friends, your home, and your surroundings. It is an idea that crosses social barriers and has become a part of the Danish national consciousness. By keeping in the moment and staying conscious of the joys of life at all times, the Danes have tapped into a source of happiness that can be a model for the rest of the world.
The Danes view life as art. Using simple rituals such as brewing a cup of tea in the evening, stopping to pick up a bunch of flowers, or just lighting a candle for the evening meal, they employ hygge to stay grounded and appreciate life for itself. By incorporating it into our daily lives, hygge can become a natural extension of ourselves and guides our interactions with the world around us.
In this book I will share with you:
- What hygge is
- The history of hygge
- Spontaneous hygge
- Hygge through the seasons
- Hygge vocabulary
- What hygge isn't
- Why the Danes are so happy
- How to hygge
- Hygge music
- Hygge clothing
- Hygge in the workplace

Do you want to learn about the ancient Japanese healing art of Reiki? Download this book now to start reading on your Kindle, iPad, PC, MacBook, browser, or smartphone!
Reiki is the practice of using the body’s natural energy to heal. It has been used to improve mood, depression, illness, injury, addiction, and basic well-being. Anyone can receive Reiki, as it is safe, gentle, non-invasive, and without negative side effects. Those who practice Reiki perform it daily on themselves, and also may perform it on friends or family, or in a professional setting.
Reiki is based on the belief that energy flows through all living things. If that energy becomes blocked or stagnant it can lead to illness and other forms of poor well-being. By placing his or her hands on or even above a client’s body, a Reiki practitioner can transfer positive energy to that person, helping them relax, relieve stress, and improve the mental, physical, and emotional conditions that may be causing them discomfort.
This healing energy is being used to help a variety of conditions, including depression, stress, addiction, injury, illnesses such as cancer, HIV, and Alzheimer's, pain, and discomfort from Western treatments such as chemotherapy.
Reiki is performed by the practitioner placing his or her hands in a series of positions on or in the space over the subject’s body. This sequence of hand positions is thought to clear blockages in the body’s energy pathways, and to channel healing energy into the places where it is needed. Those receiving Reiki treatment typically report feeling warmth and tingling, as well as deep relaxation, during a session. They may be driven to seek out Reiki for general well-being, emotional issues such as depression, and illness or injury. Most report improvement in those conditions, as well as general relaxation and stress reduction, from the very first visit.
This ancient healing art is being used in private practice, alone, as a complement to other treatment modalities, in research, and in clinical and hospital settings, including a number of prestigious research hospitals around the world!
In this book you will learn:
- What is Reiki?
- The history of Reiki
- Reiki and chakras
- The benefits of Reiki
- The five Reiki principles
- The three pillars of Reiki
- Research on Reiki
- Experiencing Reiki
- How to become a Reiki practitioner
