I wear these under slips (and skirts, of course) with undies underneath them to keep my thighs from sticking together on a hot day. Or even a cold day. My thighs like each other too much and are very close to each other. They are a bit smothering, to be honest, with their affection of one another. These slipshorts help a LOT.
UPDATE: I've had these now for a couple of years and they are still going strong. I have never had them ride up, roll down, wedgie, or do anything weird. In fact, I wish all my clothes would stay put the way these do. I read other reviews that say that rolling or riding is a factor, but I think they must have the wrong size or something. I am 5'3"ish and weigh about 140 and my thighs are pretty..well... thick. If J. Lo and the Rock had a baby, the baby would be about the size of one of my thighs when it got to be about 2 yrs old. The Medium fit me perfect and has continued to fit through weight gain and loss. Still highly recommend.
I'll admit I do have an unusually short rise, but these shorts come all the way up *almost* to my bra strap. There is no way they actually sit below the belly button of any normal-shaped person. You can't simply hike them up that high, though, because they won't stay -- the waist rolls down. Okay, you can sort of slouch them down to waist level without causing too much unsightly bunching, so I can live with that part.
The problem for me is that there is no "grip strip" around the bottoms, which would have vastly improved the usefulness of these shorts. If left unchecked, the legs keep riding up and up until finally they're firmly lodged in your crotch and your thighs are back to nuzzling each other into a sweaty blistery frenzy.
I guess there are some good things about these shorts: they are extremely stretchy and so you can slouch them into whatever shape you need them to fit your waist and crotch -- and they aren't super squeezy, forcing you to feel like a sausage when you wear them. Since they're not doing what I bought them for, though, I'm going to keep looking for something better.
*Edit: I just tried the Bali Women's Slim Couture Thigh Slimmer Short and found them superior in every way: silkier fabric; better fit (especially rise-height); and they stay put without rolling down at the top or riding up at the bottom. So there's an alternative for anyone else who's had the same problems I have.
The fit is great. I had no problems with roll up or down. They did have to be adjusted when I used the restroom, but that was no big deal, and once in place, stayed in place.
I wore them with A-line skirts, so they worked very well. I tried to wear them one day with a pencil skirt and that did not work. They are not "silky." They will cling to other cottons. So keep that in mind if you are going to wear form-fitting clothing. Thus the 4 stars.
Easy care: I was able to wash them out in hotel sink and hang them up and they were dry and in-shape the next day. I machine washed them at home, hung to dry and they kept their shape. I don't think I would put them in the dryer because it might affect the stretch/cause pilling of the fabric.
I'm considering buying some more for every day wear. They are THAT comfy.
I am an 18-20 and I bought the 2X and they were perfect.

I love these! I wear them as a slip, and under dresses that are just a tad too short for me to comfortably wear without something underneath. They are breathable and smooth.Published 5 days ago by AB
