"My Love Will Find You" shows how good Joe can be. It is true that today young male singers take the breathy (sexy?) way of voice production, but I couldn't help but think what Andy Williams (recently departed) might have done with these same songs. Joe can't just sing notes and words, no matter how well, without connecting to what he's singing. His voice sounds somewhat thin, not the way he sounded on "The Climb" at all.
The producers still insist in burying Joe's voice at times with too much orchestra. They did that with Susan Boyle, too. So far Joe's voice still sounds healthy, but I hope he's taking lessons from someone good.
I give the album 4 stars for what it is, omitting the one star because it could have been so much better.
Somethin's Gotta Hold of My Heart. This is a much better version than the original. It showcases Joe's voice perfectly and on this track, his voice is closer to his X-Factor days in terms of huskiness. The arrangement is gorgeous with sweeping violins. I give this track A+. Skyscrpaer is equally beautiful, again with a great arrangement and approach. Again, an A+ for this track. Love Of My Life presents a great interpretation of the Queen song, A+. When I Need You and I Don't Want To Talk About It receive A. These are beautifully interpreted by Joe. To have A Broken Heart is a beautiful ballad and receives B+, as do How We Love, What Have I Done?, and I Look To You, the latter being a Josh Groben-like ballad. The title track, Here's What I Believe, receives a C. It seems to lack a catchy hook or melody and perhaps Joe should have chosen one of the catchier tracks for the single. What Have I Done, in my opinion, would have been a better choice if he preferred to choose a track penned by him. Also a C is the lovely E Penso A Te simply due to the lack of flow of his Italian. Refer to the many outstanding Italian recordings of the great Connie Francis where the italian sounds natural and dramatic.
I am enjoying this CD a great deal. I've listened to the entire CD twice and I feel that with additional listens it will grow on me even more. Very good job!

These songs were beautifully chosen to compliment Joe's voice: this venue is his niche. The smooth elegance with which he navigates the range in each piece speaks to his genuine... Read morePublished 12 months ago by Schar
Enjoy it very much. Joe uses his upper register a little too much on this CD but overall it is good. "How We Love" is by far the best song on the CD.Published 13 months ago by msb729
I was a bit disappointed, because I did expect more similar songs like on his first c.d. or the classical one.
Having said that, I will keep buying his c.d. Read more
A Great vocalist. Clean Voice. This is a great album and showcases a new talent the music industry needs to redeem it.Published on June 19, 2014 by Eric McCoy
