John Allan's Thick Deep Cleansing Volumizing Shampoo is a specially formulated shampoo that brings volume and essential moisture to fine or thinning hair. Thick Volumizing Shampoo utilizes an effective combination of botanical extracts such as Nettle, Sea Kelp, Sage and Aloe Vera to remove excess oils and build up which can clog hair follicles and cause unnecessary hair loss. Vitamins A and E soothe and enrich the roots while Panthenol (Pro-vitamin B5) penetrates each hair shaft to increase volume. Thick Shampoo's rich lathering action cleanses the hair as Wheat and Soy Protein restore essential moisture. It rinses clean, leaving hair refreshed, revitalized and thick.

Fantastic shampoo. Guys need to understand though that no shampoo will actually help your hair grow back; it can only give your hair the healthiest environment to grow in. I have thin hair but still have a full head of it. I wanted to start using a shampoo that will help reinforce my hair as I'm getting older (26 now). This shampoo really fortifies the hair you have. Even after a week of using it I can tell a noticeable new strength to it. It smells great too, which is always a concern of mine with men's shampoo. I'd compare the scent as something similar to celery with some citrus in the mix, too. My only complaint is that this shampoo does take longer to rinse out (even for short hair) than any shampoo I've ever used before. But then again, this shampoo is unlike any shampoo I've ever used before. Truly a great product. I would highly recommend.

After a hard workout, when I take off my sweat soaked hat, all you smell is the "thick" shampoo and mint conditioner combo.

Very impressed so far. Also seems to last pretty well, which is definitely a plus when moving from "store" type brands to something a little more legit.

Smells very good, but is also manly. If anyone is close enough to smell your hair, this will definitely help keep them there haha

As a plus, it actually still manages to use a lot of botanical (as opposed to chemical) ingredients.

On a lesser note I also appreciate the presentation of the product (packaging scent) after years of using female-centric hair care products. Overall I would describe the product as more "masculine" in the sense of simplicity and "cool" colors and scents.

This shampoo may be a bit more expensive than whatever you typically buy at your local Wal Mart, but it's worth every dime. This is the first shampoo I've found that actually works as advertised. I've always had difficulty with very light, thin blond hair and this really does add an element of thickness - all with a nice, refreshing, clean scent to it. John Allan has a new customer for life.

i have been using this product for 2 years. discovered it in a John Allen salon. you only need to use a very small amount it latter's up and rinses off easily . my hair feels clean and has a great smell.. i have had thin hair for years and no shampoo will grow hair but my hair appears to be fuller. after towel drying i do finish it off with John Allen Pomade Matte it leaves you hair feeling soft and after combing through your hai looks fuller. both are great products

I probably would buy from this seller again... would of gave this product 5 stars just the shampoo bottle and the conditioner bottle are both small bottles. Its pretty expensive for a shampoo bottle and conditioner bottle at that size. If i'm paying top dollar for a product at least make it the bottle bigger so its worth the price. Other than that after i tried John Allan's shampoo and mint conditioner I simply love the way it works it makes my hair feel stronger and much healthier its A+ product i just hope they can make it more affordable

Since discovering this brand and shampoo several years ago, I have been a loyal customer. The shampoo works well for thinner hair and really does help it look and feel thicker. It also rinses well and does not have an overpowering fragrance like some shampoos. It is on the expensive side, but you do not need to use very much to work up a full lather so it lasts a long time.
