Product Description

John Deere Mighty Trike from Learning Curves... now THIS is a trike! Driveways and play yards are no match for this rugged 3-wheeler! Constructed of sturdy tubular steel and detailed in the iconic John Deere yellow and green. HUGE rubber tires with thick tread roll over any obstacle in Junior's way, and cruise over grass, gravel or sidewalks with equal ease. Trust me, he'll grow out of it before he grows tired of it! Ages 3 and over. Measures 34 x 26". Order Today! John Deere Mighty Trike from Learning Curves, Big, simple, and strong--especially strong--are the three words that define this tricycle. Its all-metal construction makes it several times the weight of many competitors, but how many of them have a warranty that reads "Ten years or 10,000 miles"? This brute has monster-sized inflatable tires (10 inches in diameter by 3.5 inches wide at the back, and 15 inches by almost 4 inches at the front). The frame looks strong enough to ride through a brick wall, and the seat--also metal, and not exactly built for comfort--adjusts infinitely along the sloped main frame. A simple hole-and-pin hitch at the back is perfect for towing. Adult assembly is required. --Richard Farr, See all Product Description.

We had purchased this same bike over 4 years ago and it is still going strong. My four boys have ridden this trike over and over and sometimes even fight over it. My youngest, age 2 1/2 can manuever it quite easily as the seat is adjustable. I recommend the seat to be placed high for the little ones as they can reach the pedals much easier. Even my 9 year old still wants to ride from time to time. (He is the typical size for 9 years)I agree that the bike is a bit heavy, and one of my boys struggled with that for a little bit but he's mastered it now. This is a very durable bike which has outlasted any plastic ride-on toy that we've ever owned! So I'm now purchasing one for my nephew. Oh, and before I forget, there is also a wagon attachment that may be purchased seperately which can haul just about anything your child desires.

Great toy. Durable and made to withstand.
Can last for a lot of years and many kids. Make sure you lubricate moving parts.
The only thing I didn't like was that the instructions were not extremely clear but since I work on machines, it wasn't that bad.
Also two deep paint scratches on the handle bar and the seat.
More than two years later and everything is O.K.
ONE THING TO WATCH FOR: the tri-cycle will roll over if a sharp turn is attempted by the child. But again this may be the nature of the beast.
Having said this, a helmet is a must.

My 5 year old daughter LOVES it and over all it's high quality but the single bolt for the handle bars is an epic fail (and has been apparently for years). They move back and forth regardless of how tight the bolt is. It's still functional but be ready to weld it or modify it somehow.

Overall this trike is perfect…only problem is that my little boy is too short (33 inches) to reach the pedals. It will probably be another year before he can ride it even with wood blocks on the pedals. It is very sturdy and has nice big tires so that he can even ride it out in the dirt while dad tractors. We also purchased the wagon to pull behind it and my little boy loves that feature also! Very cute and would definitely recommend for a child that is a bit taller than mine.

We first got it for my 3year old daughter. It then was used by my next daughter and now my son. Awesome trike! Pump the tires up and let them go. across the yard, off curbs you name it. Currenty my 2 1/2 year old son rides it and nothing stops him. The trike stands up to anything, even being partially run over with the car. Only down side is that may kids can go so fast on it (even two year old) it should have brakes beyond them putting their feet down. When my daughters were about 5 they could give me a ride when I stood on the back (level driveway).

This tricycle has been great, very durable. It was given to my daughter when she was 3 and then my son. They haven't had any issues with the weight, until recently. As long as the tires are pumped up, they can go very fast. They could go up hill pretty good, had to build leg strength.

Warning **, son was riding trike with daughter on back pushing. My son's shoe lace got caught and pulled his foot all the way around in a circle. Breaking his tibia and fibia. Son's shoes were too tight to pull off and shoe lace tighten with the pull. His foot was stuck and I couldn't get it off quickly. Seemed like they were having such a great time until the bottom of his foot ended up facing him wrapped around the peddle. What a nightmare for all of us, terrible pain and long trip to emergency room and surgery.

If you use this, use velcro shoes, and/or don't go to fast like going down hills or be pushed to hard from the back. Otherwise this has been a great toy. Both kids didn't really want to learn how to ride a bike they love this so much.

This is a heavy solid tricycle. Rides easily on grass and dirt. Built tough.

My only complaint was you needed more tools than assembly instructions stated, which was no big deal.

We gave this trike as a gift. While the underlying elements may be sturdy, here is how our daughter and son-in-law described the experience of assembling it -
"An update on the trike. I have two options since it's got missing parts and is very wobbly, obviously because of this. It also needs washers, which they tell you it might need in step FOUR of the absolute worst directions we've both ever laid our eyes on. Terrible!
Anyway I'm thinking of taking it to the bike store and paying them to look it over and make it safe. If they can't or won't or think it's crap I'll need to take it apart I guess and send it back. Either way she is not seeing it for her birthday. I'll be lucky if I get it to the bike store this week. I'm so sorry. It's so frustrating the crap that's on the market. This is John Deere and I'm so disappointed in the company. The directions are barely legible and everything is mass produced so for something like this it's really pretty awful. I hope they can help us because I think she would enjoy the sturdiness and color of the trike."
