John Fogerty returns to the Royal Albert Hall for the first time in 37 years. He previously performed there with Creedence Clearwater Revival in 1971.John and band perform a lengthy set - over an hour and forty minutes - in the classic venue, covering all phases of John's career, including standouts such as "Born On The Bayou," "Old Man Down The Road," "Proud Mary," "Fortunate Son" and "Rockin' All Over The World." Also included, in both live and studio versions, is the previously unreleased track "Comin' Down The Road." John's stellar band includes longtime bandmates such as Kenny Aronoff (drums), Billy Burnette (guitar) and Jason Mowery (fiddle, mandolin and lap steel). A true family affair, the concert also features guest appearances from John's sons Shane & Tyler.
From the Contributor
"The Royal Albert Hall. It's hard to imagine that I am walking on to this stage that I left 37 years ago. I had no idea coming off that stage what was ahead me. I sure didn't know it would take so long to come back! A lot of what happened wasn't easy and a lot of it I wish would have never happened. Sometimes you have to believe that things will get better, even if you don't know how... But it did for me, and there was a rainbow after the darkness. It's a pot of gold I have found with my family. Tonight is a celebration of my music and my personal revival. And when I walk off this stage tonight it will be with a happy heart." -- John FogertySee all Editorial Reviews

John Said " Tonight is a celebration of my music and my personal revival. And when I walk off this stage tonight it will be with a happy heart". And that is the way all in attendance felt when the concert was over.
There was a stellar line up of musicians that each seemed to enjoy the night as much as John did. So much positive energy, and then there were two special guests Shane & Tyler Fogerty (both on lead electric guitars & both are John's sons.) You can tell their Dad was proud and vice versa.
All the Fogarty and CCR gems were played that night to great reviews. John seems so down to earth but underneath the laid back exterior beats the heart of a perfectionist. And it shows. I highly recommend this DVD concert.
I saw John Fogerty in 1986 at Riverbend Music Center where he did not sing any CCR tunes.Even so that was one of the best concerts I have been to.
I saw him again in late 90`s where he preformed solo and CCR tunes. That was another great show.
I prefer the studio version of Born On The Bayou and most CCR tunes to any of the live recordings.I will say Fogerty`s voice was strong on Fortunate Son and the other CCR tunes covered on this live DVD.I have Fogerty`s other live videos and I was glad to hear some different CCR songs in this concert.
John Fogerty is not an oldies act he is still comes up with some great songs, just listen to this DVD version of *Somebody Help Me.
I have to add as far as Rock-A-Billy or Country Fogerty does it his way.
Someone mentioned the documentary is not included on this DVD for some reason and that`s true. This may be for the best.Because every documentary I have ever seen on John Fogerty and CCR seemed to dwell on the problems the band had in the latter years.
