From the manufacturer
Fullness and Shine
This premium hot air brush features advanced ionic power, 500 watts, 2 heat settings plus cool setting and enhanced airflow to help you achieve perfect style.
The 1½-inch barrel is perfect for adding gorgeous volume and shine to styles. The large titanium ceramic barrel gives fullness and body as you style, while the soft bristles create ultimate shine and smoothness.
Use and Tips
If you have long or thick hair, you may find it quicker and easier to use the John Frieda Full Volume Dryer first to remove excess moisture. For added volume, turn your head upside down as you dry. Once the hair is 80 per cent dry you should start to create your style using the John Frieda Salon Shape Hot Air Brush.
For maximum volume and body, start by sectioning off the hair. To turn the Hot Air Brush on, slide the on/off switch to the correct heat setting for your hair. Position the brush in the hair, close to the roots, and brush through the section to remove any tangles. For added root lift, hold the brush in place at the roots for a few seconds. Repeat as necessary.
To give fine hair an added boost: Start with John Frieda Luxurious Volume Thickening Shampoo and Conditioner. Towel dry and apply to damp hair either Luxurious Volume Blow-Dry Lotion Root Booster for added volume at the roots or Luxurious Volume Thickening Mousse for all-over volume. Style with John Frieda Salon Shape Hot Air Brush concentrating on the roots for added lift in the root area. Finish with John Frieda Luxurious Volume Extra-Hold Hairspray for a boost of shine and long-lasting hold.
Your John Frieda styling tool includes a high-voltage (advanced) ionic generator that generates up to 50 per cent more ions than ions created from natural sources. The electronic ioniser generates negative ions, which neutralise positive ions in the atmosphere. This process flattens and seals the hair cuticle, reducing frizziness and flyaways, eliminating static electricity, and contributing to shine and manageability.
The ceramic coating on your John Frieda styling tool is a fusion of titanium and ceramic that evenly distributes heat to gently style and protect hair from damaging hot spots. The titanium is a harder, more durable, heat-resistant metal able to withstand higher heat than aluminium or other metals.

4 years ago my trusty old conair dryer brush fell apart. I've been through 3 dryer brushes since then, none of which worked worth a darn, and didn't hold out much hope of finding one at all that would work with my thick longish hair.
Well...my hair looks fabulous...BETTER than when I get it done at the salon. Seems no one at the salon ever listens to me and does my hair *exactly* the way I like it. Don't have to worry about that anymore. I can go back to doing it myself, and it looks just the way I want it. My hair is slightly curly and when left to air dry, it gets frizzy...and if they don't dry it COMPLETELY at the salon...it gets frizzy. No worries with this - I dry it until it slips through the bristles like silk and I know it's perfect. The bristles on this brush are really great with my hair. Most of the ones I've tried in the past few years have "hair type bristles" that will not go all the way through my hair and are a real pain. The bristles on this are a combination of hair and hard plastic bristles...exactly what is needed for thick hair...they work great.
I saw where several people complained about the controls...I didn't find that to be a problem for me at all. They are right at the perfect place where I can easily slide it from low to high or to cool. I usually only use high anyway, but I didn't think it was an issue.
I will post a video review when I get time.
LOVE this product!
*ADDED COMMENT* January 15, 2015: I am still using this dryer brush and still love it! I am purchasing one for my Mom, in fact. I would love to add a couple of before/after pics, but cannot figure out how to do that. This is the only drying tool I use, and 98% of the time, except for heat protectant, I don't use mousse or any other product to make my hair behave, and it's always perfect.
I got tired of trying to do a professional blowout on myself using my hair dryer with a regular round bush. My hair always came out frizzy, burnt, and just dead. After searching for a hot air brush I came upon the John Frieda brand and was amazed by the reviews, so I decided to give it a try. When the product finally arrived I was so happy! I tried it right away. I recommend letting your hair air dry first and foremost. If you're like me and it takes your roots forever to dry then go ahead and use your regular hair dryer with the flat nozzle thingy to dry your scalp first and just let it air dry. I was extremely happy with how easy it is to use.
A little tip to all you ladies having trouble achieving volume, waves, etc. it all depends on how your hair is cut and don't forget to divide your hair in sections! I had long hair and was having trouble getting volume.I asked my hair dresser to give me a cut with lots of layers and volume and once I blow dry it I am always pleased with the results. At times I even do the Kate Middleton blowout! I even attached a picture of my every day hair using the hot brush.
I even took it with me to Mexico this May only to sell it to my aunt because she was just as amazed as I was.
I like my hair to have a lot of volume (I have thin hair) and my layers to show (please excuse my dead ends) so this look is easy to achieve. I just sectioned my hair in small pieces, used this tool from my roots to the tip, then from the tip curled up (inwards) and rolled the brush around and out to keep the curl. Added a lot of volume and a nice wave to the tips. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a nice easy blowout!
I also used John Frieda Volumizing spray to obtain this look!
