Give fine hair a much-needed boost. John Frieda Luxurious Volume Fine to Full Blow Out Spray for Fine Hair creates the same flexible, touchable volume you’d expect from a salon blowout. Its heat-activated polymer technology helps to plump fine strands from root to tip for long-lasting voluminous styles, plus it offers heat protection up to 220°C/428°F. With a texture that doesn’t feel won’t weigh hair down, it’s perfect for making sure fine hair doesn’t fall flat.
How to Use John Frieda Luxurious Volume Fine to Full Blow Out Spray for Fine Hair:
Spray liberally throughout towel-dried hair, making sure to cover the roots and undersides. Comb through to ensure John Frieda Luxurious Volume Fine to Full Blow Out Spray for Fine Hair is distributed evenly from root to tip. Dry completely using a blow dryer to activate heat polymer technology. For best results blow dry upside down or using a round brush.
About John Frieda
Over three decades ago, the John Frieda brand started with the opening of a salon on New Cavendish Street, London. Today, the vision of the brand reflects that salon heritage: delivering products that target specific style problems and transform them. For salon-caliber results you can see and feel.
We learned that to get there, the solution has to be tailored to your hair’s specific needs. So we made it our mission to crack the differences behind exactly what makes blondes brighter, brunettes shine, and frizz an ancient memory. Our products are fueled by an understanding of what makes each individual hair type unique. To help your style meet its perfect match.

-it can seem kind of crispy when you're drying your hair at first. it will not make it greasy or oily, but it kind of feels like there's hairspray in your roots or something a little crunchy. it also made my hair a little more coarse at the front where I applied more.
-this is a good thing!! the hair needs to have a more coarse texture to have more volume, as soft silky hair is generally not as volumous.
-once you style (I used heat for curls/waves) the coarse or crispy-ness will not be visible or look strange.
-you kind of have to do some fluffing/tousling to get the volume to what you like. it helped me to blow dry completely upside down and I got the look I really wanted which is more volume at the roots
-use liberally!! it may feel weird but use more rather than less!!
good luck ladies and hope it works for you!
The first thing I noticed is they have changed the shape of the spray applicator, not a huge deal, but you will notice it gets clogged easier and no amount of hot water or alcohol will produce a fine spray. One can I had just stopped spraying all together. I ended up throwing it away... it was half full! When you are able to get it out of the can, It coats your hair like shellac, and is impossible to brush out without GREAT pain!
Unless they go back to the old formula, don't waste your money.
I also use John Frieda Volumizing hair spray and In-Shower Volume Treatment. For me, each of those add more volume on their own than this product, but I do like the combination of all three. I have really flat hair...need all the volume I can get!
I use this with John Frieda's Curl Reviver Mousse on the shaft. They both feel fairly similar except this one gives more separation and less hold for definition.
I would hesitate to recommend to people with thick, dense hair.
My guess is that it is made in big batches and it was not combined properly and I got the top of the barrel. I have used about a 1/4 or the bottle now or maybe a little more because of my efforts to get it do something.
Have not looked into returning it at this point, hoping to hear something from the manufacturer about a strange batch? Who knows.
If I don't hear from someone I will try to return.
