The title of the book, Jolt is just one word that describes this book as it also shocks you into looking at your behavior.
I loved the last chapter where the author talks about his dad and the lessons he learned from him. This chapter at the end of the book brought everything into perspective. The way the chapter unfolded I could see myself and my own dad, the parallels I was seeing brought the book to life.
Would I recommend the book? Yes, reading it will jolt you into action.

I read Larry's new book in three sittings in back to back days, with the last on a flight to Boston. As I deplaned, I felt so energized! A lifelong learner, Larry practices what he preaches - helping everyone who crosses his path. He really cares. His closeness to his family and special relationship with his father serves as a role model for us all. He made me think through what lessons I will leave my own son. All of us are in sales in some form or fashion, and Larry will provide a new perspective on how to do sales, and for that matter, anything in life, in the most helpful and meaningful way. Reading this book was like being in an honest discussion with your best friend. There are so many insights, bits of wisdom and humor! Expressions like, "I've been dealt a bad deck and all my cards keep coming up as jokers!" This expression is so true! But Larry Long is masterful in guiding the reader to help motivate, express gratitude and teaches how to become a better you for personal and professional success. I encourage anyone who is ambitious & eager to continue thriving to read this book. Larry Long, Jr. describes simple yet effective ways to push yourself 'back in the game' if you need a little motivation. The chapters end with quick summary "Jolts" and a mantra. If you like the book, go see him speak in person and you won't regret it!
