Refined look and amazing scents

I have the Earl Grey and Champagne scents-- love them both, for different moods and occasions. Both of their scents are sophisticated and not too overpowering, plus they look nice on my coffee table's candle tray. The Earl Grey is mature and relaxing; it's a nice scent to read a good book to. The Champagne is fresh, crisp, and vaguely fruity; it lends the room a warm, inviting atmosphere. I especially like that the scents are unisex. My boyfriend likes these candles as much as I do. Just as a matter of personal taste, I think both of us like the Champagne scent better, so I'll probably end up getting more of those. I liked the idea another reviewer had to wash out the glasses and re-use them! I think I'll try that. My Earl Grey ones would probably make cute succulent jars.

Update: I finally burned down my first of these candles, an earl grey one, and decided to email customer service on the subject of re-using the glasses. They confirmed that the solid color glasses are food safe; they actually sell the glasses by themselves on their website! The metallic ones, however, are probably safer as pencil cups or vases. Thought I'd add that to my review, for those curious. :)

My husband gave me the tomato vine candle for a gift and I thought at first that this smell sounded weird! How wrong was I! This scent is HEAVENLY! I can't stand "artificial" smellig scents but this candle smells like someone just got through chopping herbs. It smells exactly like the green leaves of a tomoto vine. Very fresh, clean and herbal smellilng. I'm actually back at this site ordering a second one. I recieved it in December and use it regularly and it's lasted me 5 months and I still have a bit of it left that could go another few weeks. Plus, the red glass it is in is really pretty too! The box it comes in makes it a cute gift too!

Ok, I get what the other reviewers are saying. It doesn't smell exactly like "early grey tea." If you want the exact smell of earl grey tea, I suggest you brew some and sniff your cup. However, it does smell very earl grey-esque. Meaning, I think it has successfully captured the essence of earl grey tea in aromatic candle format. It absolutely smells sweeter than the tea, but it is by no means an "old lady" or very sweet fragrance. It maintains the slightly bitter bergamot flavor that we earl grey drinkers love. As long as you set your expectations for this candle to smell like a candle and not literal earl grey tea, I think you will be delighted with the fragrance. I was not originally of the metered expectations camp, but this scent has really grown on me. I used to buy seda france candles but never again. Jonathan Adler is one of the few brands that makes genuinely interesting fragrances. I have already bought 2 of these candles (along with the champagne), and I'm back for more.

I love it! Beautiful rose gold container. It is also great for gifts and people always compliment how great my house smells when I have it burning. I keep re-oredering so I have it on hand. It does not smell anything like champagne though. Very fragrant good clean scent.
