Styles, muses, inspirations are given. The book is filled with color pictures that show different thoughts, what to do with all sorts of accessories, like books and flowers and pillows.
This book would be for any one except the most experienced decorator or those who absolutely can't or won't accept anything but traditional Chippendale.
But, speaking as a person who has a British Bobby's helmet next to their wooden Shichifukujin, the Seven Gods of Japan...have some courage, have some fun, smile when you walk into the rooms of your home. Use Happy Chic for ideas, and technique.
His imagery in this book is breathtaking and quirky. It's so fun that I smile just looking at how Adler put together each composition and matched the colors. It truly is "happy" chic. :) I recommend this book for those who like non conservative and non traditional decor. It is for those who like vibrancy and wants that to envelope them.

I like the pictures, love how jonathan adler writes/speaks, but I don't think the book adds much comparing it to Happy Chic ColorsPublished 23 months ago by Filipa Ferreira Torres
Jonathan Adler packs a colorful wallop in every book of his. His enthusiasm is contagious and the rooms make you want to live in them.Published on August 24, 2014 by Gail P. Boyce
Jonathan is stretching himself and this concept a little thin already. Kinda one note ideas; the kind of thing you look through once and that's it. Don't waste your pennies.Published on June 4, 2014 by Lola
