My first counterfeit product encountered. 😡
Update: After buying about 5 or so of these reeds, a couple were not very good or playable for long, but I suppose you get what you pay for. Might try the Jones Artist reeds to see if the quality is more consistent, although it's expensive.
I would definitely recommend these reeds to anyone picking up the bassoon, I intend to continue purchasing Jones reeds until I can afford the tools to start carving my own reeds.
The quality of the quality of the reed is pretty good too. As long as I'm careful to soak it in water it doesn't break or chip and for the short period of time that I've had it it has worked well. I haven't noticed anything extraordinary about it, and it does seem to need more soaking time than my previous reed but it is worth it.
