These little rascals are expensive for what they consist of. I happened to buy three different brands in a short period, thinking that they should all be generally the same--they are not. The quality of the wood, how the parts are attached and the beefiness of the screws set this apart from the other two. I was surprised that the Bessey product was rather cheaply made in comparison. The differences might not be so apparent unless they were side by side. These get used frequently in my shop and all three serve the purpose, the Jorgensen just a bit better.

These clamps have been around for ever. Any good woodworking shop has a pile of them. Get them in pairs at a minimum and get a variety of sizes you won't be sorry. They last a lifetime and more.
Oh yeah the other dimension you need to know is the distance from the tip to the middle spindle on this clamp is 4 inches

Mine arrived in perfect condition. This clamp is very well made and worked just like I had hoped. Jorgensen makes a nice product here, and this type of clamp is really useful for many jobs around your wood shop. I purchased this one to use with the Incra I-box jig (reviewed separately) that I got to make box joints, and it is a must for that application. This type of clamp has many other applications too, so as a relatively novice woodworker I plan to buy more of this type of Jorgensen clamp in various sizes.

I bought this because it is shown in the Incra videos. It's used to hold stock against the moving trolly and into the drill bit. For that it works, though I still haven't mastered the coordination technique to get both jaws to close simultaneously and parallel to one another. Also, I have several other styles of clamps that I believe will work just as well.

How much can you say? This is a quality clamp. Well machined screws, heavy duty handles, finely made. Great clamping control... from real power to a delicate hold.
I especially like the size 0 for use with jigs, cross cut sled, and my Incra router system.

Definitely well-made in the USA. After reading the other reviews here these are just what I was expecting. Very high quality.
Just an FYI that the numbering used for the Jorgensen DIY kits does not directly correspond to the size of the pre-made clamps.
For instance, the Size 0 clamps that I purchased would be the J-08 DIY kit (the numbers of the kits are the length of the body of the clamps).

After decades of woodworking projects, I finally bought these and am very happy with how well the design works. While not fast and require two hands, they hold your work incredibly well.

A nice little trick to quickly open or close in fast amounts before clamping on work, spin the entire clamp holding a handle in each hand as if you're pedaling a bike by hand. That opens or closes quickly depending on direction. Then fine tune once clamping down on work pieces.

Will purchase more in the future as my needs increase.

I've had 3 pairs of Jorgensen clamps for the last 30 years. When I moved to Maui 2 years ago I didn't bring them with me. I did without for a year but got a pair of the size 04's last month. What a relief! I've used them 6 or 7 times in the last month. Indispensible especially for tapered or uneven surfaces. Holds things TIGHT to each other or another surface.
