Joseph McCabe (b. 1972) is the West Coast Editor of SFX ("the world's leading sci-fi, horror and fantasy magazine"), a reporter for Total Film and Digital Spy, and the author of '100 Things Batman Fans Should Know & Do Before They Die' and '100 Things Superman Fans Should Know & Do Before They Die'. He has served as a columnist for Nerdist.com, associate editor of FEARnet.com, assistant editor of the World Fantasy Award-winning Weird Tales, and contributing editor of the Eisner Award-winning Comic Book Artist. His writing and interviews have appeared in Paste, RES, Comic Heroes, The Comics Journal, Comics Buyer's Guide, Filmfax, Science Fiction Chronicle, and The New York Review of Science Fiction. He has contributed essays to the collections 'The Man from Krypton: A Closer Look at Superman' and 'Webslinger: Unauthorized Essays On Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man' and interviews to 'Cover Story: The Art of John Picacio' and 'Secrets of the Rock Star Programmers: Riding the IT Crest'. His book 'Hanging Out with the Dream King: Conversations with Neil Gaiman and His Collaborators' was nominated for the Bram Stoker and the International Horror Guild Awards. A Philadelphia native and a graduate of Villanova University and Pennsylvania State University, he lives in Santa Barbara with his wife, the art historian Sophia Quach McCabe.
