I love this author. This whole series is a really good one to tackle during down times or breaks in small group study. I have used this series, and this author ( and this book) to study the Word when I'm not doing something with a group. I have found each lesson rehashes the gospel and the supremacy of Christ in a different way. These books are excellent for the average lay person in studying the more obscure Old Test books and prophets. I have read the ones he authored on Nehemiah, Malachai, and Zecheriah and all are excellent.

Through Ellsworth's teaching I have learned how much God has written the gospel all over the Old Testament! Not a chapter goes by without out! Loved this book. Discussion questions at back of each chapter are fine for individual study also. I wish we would use this series at church!
