The bottle makes this product look small, but it's pretty large. It's a 4fl oz product, and will probably last me a few "leg seasons." It doesn't have a heavy scent, and doesn't feel thick or oily on the skin. The shimmer isn't obvious, and looks more like a glisten or a glow once applied (no yucky chunks of glitter). I bought the shade "vanilla amber" because I'm a little more fair and have more of a pink undertone. It looks more rose gold when I got the bottle in person than it does in the photo. If you have more yellow or olive undertones or a deeper skin tone overall, I would recommend the other shade to avoid looking too reddish. I can't wait to wear this over my sunscreen at the beach or just on my legs for a night out.
I'm impressed on how quick the product shipped. It does not smell like Josie's whipped butter vanilla products. The oil isn't bad because it's not sticky. I'm just a little put off by the smell. I should have tried the creme brûlée. This was my first thought. Then my daughters came home from school and told me I smelled wonderful!! So don't judge it by smelling it out of the bottle. You have to put it on and let it absorb. I will repurchase. My skin feels healthy, looks amazing, and it will last all summer. Another amazing Josie product!
I love how this oil looks and how it moisturizes, but I think it smells like vanilla scented play doh. I'm finding that most Josie Maran moisturizers have this scent, so I think maybe it's just not for me.
I was looking for a natural oil to improve the health of my skin. Argan oil is my go-to for face, and I liked that this added a pretty shimmer. I give it two stars because it does leave a nice sheen. However, this is very heavy. Waxy, even. It doesn't absorb and rubs off on everything I touch, leaving greasy, glittery smudges everywhere. It also attracts every bit of lint, hair, and dust from the air and affixes it to my skin. If my cat rubs against my legs, I end up wearing more fur than the cat! Can't imagine wearing it to the beach.
