Josie's story is complete with her own HEA (happily ever after). Her twin sister's story (Lessie: Bride of Utah, #45 in American Mail-Order Brides Series) is intertwined yet also stands alone. Many readers have suggested reading Lessie first, followed by Josie, though no spoilers will interrupt the story's flow if Josie is read first. Both books are designed to be read independently--so no need to read Lessie to enjoy Josie's full story and hard-won happy ending.

Excellent Love Story!

I am so glad I decided to read Josie's story right after Lessie's even though I didn't have to, to me it was like a flow from one book to the other.

Even though Josie went through some terrifying things with her husband I was happy she didn't get shot or knifed like Lessie did. I wasn't expecting Adam to get knifed so that shocked me. Thankfully Josie helped deflect the would be killer from causing permanent damage to Adam.

These two stories were about the best love stories ever. These two cousins truly wanted to love their wives and did everything they could to ensure they did. Absolutely beautiful!

Now I must get back to book 46, 48, 49 & 50. Then I've read them all, so far it has been a wondrous journey for me.

Male cousins want to marry related wives. Having never been separated from her twin, Lessie, it takes some getting use to. Adam and Josie certainly have one adventure after another. The mining company has lots of problems and tragic incidents have happened. Can they fall in love and solve the company problems?

Josie is Lessie's identical twin sister, and she's the gentler and more shy of the two sisters. (Hint: these two stories are tied together and I would read the Utah, Josie's book first). Although the author gives you plenty of background without writing the same thing over and over, so that you could really read either book first. The hero, Adam, is a sweetie and very handsome and kind and giving. You have to love him. Their honeymoon is tastefully shown with plenty of romance but no explicit love making. The remainder of the book is a wild rise of suspense and danger, where the two bond even stronger in the face of villainous murderers who want them dead. It's a great read!

This mail order bride story dealt not only with a bride and groom getting to know one another, but with twins adjusting to being separated for the first time in their lives. Josie is no sooner married than she hurried onto a private train car for a honeymoon on the way to her husband's mining business in New Mexico. What a suspenseful adventure that turned out to be. Very well written with great characters. Although the author wrote this as a stand-alone novel, I think a reader will enjoy this story more by reading about the other twin, Lessie, Bride of Utah, first.

This is another excellent book by this author that grabs your attention and doesn’t let go until the end. Sweet historical romance that includes some mystery, and becomes suspenseful at times. The history is fascinating, as is the premise for these 2 books. Even the covers are amazing! And these novels are clean and wholesome. Very well-written and worth the read!! I definitely and highly recommend these two books. Both are stand-alones, but Lessie is the first one, and Josie is the ending.

I enjoyed the story so much of Adam and Josie. It was full of action and danger keeping me intrigued. I couldn't quit reading. The only thing that I would have loved to have seen was her reaction when she saw her own home and how close she and Lessie her twin would actually live. Yeah I know we can't have it all but it is a wonderful book . I also recommend you follow this author and read everything she has written .
