Great boots, but could go without the "extras".

These boots are great for Midwestern rainy days! Sturdy, well made, keeps your feet dry, and are great for those with wide calves because they don't come up high enough for it to be a problem.

Why the 4/5 star review? Because mine came complete with a pair of dirty socks in the box. They were apparently a return, which is fine, but getting someone's nasty socks along with them, especially in the "rona" times, is gross.

So... if you're needing a good pair of rain boots, and have a pair of gloves and some sanitizer on hand just in case, these are worth it.

I originally purchased these exact pair of rain boots at DSW for $59.99. I happened to be looking on the internet for other design options and came across this one at almost half the price! It does run large - I usually wear a size 8 and I bought these boots at size 7. If I wear thin socks, it even has room to spare. I love that they're short rain boots, which makes it easier for me to slip on and off when I'm taking the dogs out for a walk on a rainy day, but not TOO short (like their clog design) that water would get in while walking on grass. I'm very happy with this purchase and plan on buying more!

First- I wear an 8.5/9 in women’s, and after reading the reviews, I purchased an 8. They fit PERFECTLY!
Second- I love these boots. They’re cute, keep my feet dry, and lightweight.... but.... they are not comfortable at all. They have a thin fleece liner, and provide no support whatsoever. Not a big deal, I added insoles and can now wear them the entire day with no discomfort. As much as I love these, I have to say I have some disappointment regarding their comfort. The price was a bit higher than what I like to spend, but hoping they will last longer than the muck boots o normally buy.

Good rain boots, weird insole insert

These boots are cute and they fit as expected. I have small feet and Joule offers a size 5. My only complaint is the weird insole insert. My other pain of Joule rain boots came with the insole actually made into the boot. These came with some insert that is not sewn in and is removable It has a fuzzy side that goes up...it doesn't stay in place at all...by the time I've walked around the corner, the insole has migrated up the back of the boot around my ankle...then you're walking on the rubber bottom and can feel every groove that should be covered by the insole...I'm going to buy some regular inserts and see of that helps...I like the pattern or I'd return them...

I wanted to love these boots so much. I ended up ordering three pair trying to find the correct size and style, unfortunately none of them worked for me. They seem to run exactly one half size too large, so for someone like me who is always a 7, the 7 was too big and the 6 was just a bit too small. I tried several different kinds of socks, nothing really seemed to change the fit that much. On top of that, I realized that the boot rubbed the back of my heel in a rather uncomfortable way. I have a narrow heel, so keep that in mind if you do as well. Also, I agree with the others who say that the insole is very strange in these boots. It is very thin with a layer of fur, and seems extremely cheaply made which doesn't match the quality of the rest of the boot. A lot of people seem to like these boots, and they are definitely the cutest ones you can buy on Amazon, unfortunately they just were not for me. I gave them three stars because for the price, the quality is very good and the patterns are absolutely adorable. If they fit your feet, they are definitely worth buying!

I bought these shoes for use in the spring rains, and for running about the garden. Besides being super cute -- They work great - easy to slip on and off, and keep my feet dry. Typically, I wear a size 7 shoe, but these ran a bit big. I exchanged them for a size 6 and they fit perfectly with a short sock. There is a cushiony removable insole inside that makes them quite comfortable.

I ordered these Wellibob's as I had discarded my other pair of wellies when they developed a crack and my socks were becoming wet. Little did I know that "The Beast from the East" was going to rear its ugly head. When I learnt this, I ordered a pair of these charming Wellibob's before the extreme weather conditions arrived - following the rule that when buying boots " always order one size upward from that of your regular shoe size." It was a bit of a "downer" when the shoes actually arrived on a day when the storm was at its worst, but I still trudged through the snow to collect this order from the Post Office depot as the outer box was far too large for the postman to leave outside. However, what a great choice! I put them on immediately within the depot and they fit perfectly onto my wide feet. Most importantly - they were comfortable, whilst the blue shade compliments most of my wardrobe. In fact, once they are worn with the current wide-legged ankle length jeans, the proportions are perfect and express my individuality.The inner lining also added warmth and admittedly, I was worried that the back of these boots might have been a bit irritating to the posterior aspect or my lower leg, but this proved an unnecessary worry. When put to the test of going back into the snow they performed very well and I am pleased to say that I did not end up in the Emergency Department. Eventually, when the snow turned into slush, they again performed very well and they continued to be comfortable throughout the day.

Wet feet again

EDIT updated after 4 months, (18-03-2021) have returned the boots and received a refund. One has split where the foot part meets the sole and is letting in water. Certainly not what I expected after 4 months! So very sad and unsure what to replace with as very put off. Thank you Amazon for making return and refund easy as no replacement available.
ordered these to replace my 8 year old pair of joules wellibobs that were still going well except the new dog chewed a hole in them!
What I like about these is they keep my feet dry. Because I suffer from a circulation problem in one leg I struggle with normal wellingtons as I can’t get me left leg in due to swelling. No worry with these as they are comfortable ankle wellies keeping my feet dry and snug. I am a size 6 and that’s what I buy for these too. I wear boot socks with them as they are long enough to stop the top rubbing on my fat leg and seem to be the right fit in the foot so that I can walk comfortably without the boot slopping as some wellies do.
I loved the price at £30 and hope they last me another 8 years as long as they lock them in the cupboard when the dog is around.
The only reason I have given a 4 star is because the fleece insoles seem to move as they are not fixed in so I constantly have to rearrange them for each wear. Mind you this is an improvement on my last pair when the fleece sole extended up the heel and constantly rolled down.
I love the designs but sadly the nicest designs were long wait for delivery and with a dog to walk twice daily in the rain I needed them urgently.
So nice, dry, cosy feet and no slipping in the mud. Wide enough to tuck trousers into.

Bought these for pottering in the gardening and for my 3 mile commute when it rains... Incredibly pleased with them so far - look good & the fluffy lining is a nice touch. I ordered a 7 which is normally a good fit but these are surprisingly a little large - however this is a bonus in my eyes as it means I can wear big socks with them if needed in the colder months.

Arrived quickly and the Joules box is beautiful. Pleased with the price and think it's fair for the value

Lovely Ankle High Wellingtons

These boots are very good. I love the fur lining which kept my feet lovely and warm while I walked miles and miles with my dog through the winter of 2016/17. They lasted about 6 months, which, for the price, I guess I can't really complain about. Eventually it was the cuts and slashes of the weeds and undergrowth on the footpaths I use that destroyed the boots and they started letting in water and became useless. They simply weren't up to this level of abuse!

Previously I had always bought walking boots but I liked the idea of the ease of getting these on and off and also the ease of just being able to hose them down to keep them clean. One thing that I did find was that one's socks slid down into the boots and I'd have to stop and pull the socks up mid-walk. Some socks were better at staying up than others and fitted walking socks with a heel and toe were better than "normal" boot socks.

I had a back operation some years ago which involved the fusing of vertebrae and since then I simply don't have the flexibility to put on (and get off) longer wellington boots, so these ankle high Wellibobs are perfect for me.

I've now bought walking boots again. I will probably buy another pair of Wellibob's as they are really versatile and great in the rain but I won't use them for dog walks in the woods next time.

Not worth the price

Bought these just under 6 months ago. They are used maybe 2 or 3 times a week so not heavily used. First pair split at the back when putting them on brand new. First class for sending out a new pair so that's good!
Went to put second pair on and the tab at the back has split/come off in just under 6 months old, so very difficult to pull on and take off now. They, in my opinion, are not that well made and for the money expected to at lease get 2 or 3 winters out of them.
Save your money and buy some cheap ones - they will probably last longer!
