A LITTLE WELLY WISDOM

HOW TO CLEAN YOUR WELLIES

Wash your wellies with a cloth and warm soapy water.
Leave them to dry naturally and stuff them with newspaper to help them dry quicker. Avoid leaving your wellies on a radiator to dry.
Simply wipe away any white powdery residue on your welly with a damp cloth. This is a perfectly natural process called "blooming" in which the natural oils in the rubber work their way to the surface.
Remove the insoles of your wellies and wash them separately. Ideal for when those puddles are deeper than expected!

HOW TO STORE YOUR WELLIES

Store your wellies in a cool, dry place away from sunlight. Better still, keep them tucked away in one of our stylish welly bags.
Try to stop your wellies from folding over.

I love Joules rain boots. I’ve owned a pair for four years. Yes, I do need a new pair about once a year (just bought my third pair) because they start to crack where the top of the boot meets the sole. But, I wear them multiple times a day, every single day, rain or shine, in shallow water and on dry land because I have a Belgian Malinois and I take her out to work her and for potty breaks. These protect my feet, ankles and shins from everything: ticks, ants, mosquitoes, other bugs, tall grass, and... should I step in some other dog owner’s dog poo because they are irresponsible and inconsiderate pet owners, these are super easy to clean off quickly. I like these because they are adjustable around the calf and there is not too much extra room around the ankle area. This makes them super comfortable to walk in and they do not rub too much around the heel and ankle areas. I was a little disappointed in the selection of design when ordering a new pair this go around, but, still happy with them. I’ll always buy Joules rain boots.

OMG!! Can’t believe I got the gorgeous boots for 19.99. They are ah mazing . Read so many reviews on these and Was very nervous- it would be a toss up if they fit my calves but I I decided to go with a smaller size. So glad I did. Got a 6 when I normally wear 7-8. They fit perfect. Plenty of room for my medium to large calves. And there is a little wiggle room with the strap on the back of the boot. If you are petite and/or less than plus size I don’t see a problem fitting your calves in the boot. So very happy with my purchase

Good for fashion, don't know about sturdiness

If you are buying these to be fashionable in the rain then you can't do better. They are adorable. I bought these yes, because they are cute but also on the reputation of Joules having sturdy boots and I bought them to wear on some serious hikes through the Costa Rican rain forest where the mud can be as deep as the shaft of the boot and you can be walking over some serious rough rocks. These held up though the mud did stain and darken the artwork even though I washed the mud off after every hike. I go on this trip every year and last year my Joules boots got a crack right at the seam between the sole and the upper. I wish I had remembered that those were Joules because then I would have chosen another brand this year. I have yet to find a brand that can withstand more than one trip to the rain forest. Next year, rather than risk these boots not standing up to the trip I will try the Hunter brand.
These also had a sizing issue. I had to buy two pairs- one a size 10 which was huge on me (my last pair of Joules was a 10 and fit fine) and had to go down to a 9 which is a tad snug but I make it work. A size 9.5 would be perfect of course but they don't come in a 9.5 which I don't understand. People over a size 9 have half sizes too.

Good quality long lasting Rain Boot

Adorable and well made. These are the only rainboots I buy for my children. It is best you store them indoors in a temperature controlled location and this prevents dry rot and cracking. I clean them with a little goo gone after washing mud away with the garden hose, and then shine them with some armour all. They hold up wonderful and look new for years with this method. I pass them down to each child, and when the oldest can no longer fit we get a new pair (a couple sizes bigger than her usual shoe size).

I feel this company still values quality craftsmanship which I enjoy as it is hard to find in many productsand industries. I will pay a little more all day long for a good and long lasting product.

I bought these quite a while back but not used them much. After only a few uses they were no longer waterproof?? I should have sent them back then, as they have done nothing but annoy me ever since. Now a little over a year after buying them I've had enough, these wellies are absolute crap for my intended use (short walks with the dog while raining), I haven't been able to as much as walk in wet grass without getting wet for about 6 months. I expected more quality for the price, definitely!!!!

I love the look of these boots, very cute bee design. Unfortunately the are not very tough soles, you can really feel the ground under foot if you walk on any stones etc. Better suited for soft ground. I wear them dog walking. The inner soles aren't actually attached so slide around when walking which can be uncomfortable. Bit disappointing as I purchased these as a change from my hunters. I've brought two pairs of Joules one for my self and another for my daughter and we have the same issue with both.

I was excited for these boots as I have had the Joules Bee wellies from back in 2014. Those ones lasted me a good while.

My only reservation about them, though it doesn’t affect the 5 stars I’ve left, is that the description is “metallic bees” however they’re not metallic at all.. they’re just coloured bee prints.

So if you only want them for the metallic side of it, you’ll be disappointed. But if you’re not fussed then you won’t be disappointed as the bee print is beautiful.
