the reading is really easily and flows well, and Bill also covers various other topics in the book. I read this book during the holiday season, and upon my return three weeks later, I was immediately allowed to enter the Akashic Records, and provide my clients with some amazing information, and insight of which I had no prior knowledge to. From having a Deity meet us in the Akashic Records, to a father having a conversation with his son, to a great grand parent giving direction to a grand child, to a male and female Spirit guide, communicating about a current relationship, and the future. Then even being exposed to a past life and the karma the person in dealing with, to a client who in this dimension suffers with the liver function due to karma from a past life and a relationship issue with his dad. some very amazing information.
so if you have started this journey or would like to start, this book is a great read.
Unfortunately, the book is a mess. It seemed to me to have been thrown together willy-nilly. It's also an illegal mess. To judge from my sampling, sixty-plus pages of the back-matter material is either lifted word-for-word from Wikipedia or like sites, or plagiarized from copyrighted ones. There is no credit or permissions listed for this; it is presented as the author's work. I checked a couple handsful of entries from different parts of the index and Google immediately identified their online sources. There were only two that didn't turn up anything off the bat. The back matter is written very differently (it uses lucid English) from the rest of the book, so it made me wonder.
Other than that, the author does not know how to put a clear sentence (or paragraph) (or chapter) together. He has not bothered with anything so mundane as spell check. He is so intent on impressing us that he uses twenty-dollar words and drops woo-woo New Age terms and concepts without explaining them. I got the impression he’d watched too many courtroom dramas, because he often tries to cover all possibilities in his sentences instead of just stating what will help the reader to understand.
Here’s a paragraph from the second page:
"Ancient Egyptian mystery schools such as the Order of Melchezidek [sic] priesthood. This ancient group's roots comes [sic] directly from their ancestry in Atlantis. The knowledge, wisdom and power to manifest, manipulate and create from cosmic energy, the stars, constructed power sources and energy technologies from light and sound. Rituals to open the senses into the Akashic Records or Akasha. Yet another example of spiritual and energetic situational development from the ethers into reality by using the ethers themselves. The Hermetic approach of the Kyballion speaking of the ancient wisdom and right, clear or exacting usages of the energetic laws and principles. There are true spiritual masters, sages and adepts living outside of communities of the known world, relying on the inner wisdom of the good, humble or resourceful usage of true knowledge and powers."
The author needs to take this book out of publication IMMEDIATELY. If nothing else, plagiarism is a crime. (Plus it says something quite negative about the author.)
Then he needs to find a co-author, one who is cognizant of English composition targeted to modern readers. This co-author needs to take each sentence and ask, “What did you mean to say here?” and translate it into clear English.
An editor is needed to organize the material so it won’t be so repetitive (how many times do we need to be told what the Akashic Records are?) and can lead the reader deeper into the mysteries of the Records in an understandable way. A line editor is needed for spell check at the very least. A professional formatter should be hired who will make sure the book isn’t printed with GIGANTIC type. (And no, it’s not that way to help readers with poor eyesight, as it’s done in a serif font.)
Along the way, someone needs to re-label the illustrations so they don’t sound like they’re trying to sell us the author’s portrait art--we don’t need to know size of the original or the medium the art was done in--and instead tell us who these people are and where in the book we can read more about them and how they relate to the Records. The index of spiritual beings needs to be of original material, alphabetized correctly, and deal with how these beings relate to the Records, with page numbers listed as to where we can find them mentioned in the book.
The meditations in the book were written as if they were transcribed from sessions. “Relax. Relax more. You’re feeling light and relaxed”--that kind of thing. They seem to be great meditations, but aren’t suitable for informational purposes. Instead, the book should describe what a meditation for accomplishing X would aim for, and provide a link to an online audio file where the author could conduct the meditation.
THAT would make a great book! I feel the author has a lot of information to communicate about the Akashic Records: what they are, how they are accessed, and what a person can hope to accomplish by accessing them and/or the beings there. Unfortunately, every aspect of this book provides negative information; that is, information given in a confusing, obfuscating, or self-grandizing fashion. It needs a complete rewrite. I’d look forward to reading such. Without that, I’ll check out other books to provide useful information about the Akashic Records and recommend that others seeking to learn about the Records do the same.
