For many years, not a few Christians have argued over this question. Was it a glorified "physical body" (this always seemed contradictory to me; an oxymoron, as "flesh gives birth to flesh and spirit to spirit;" "flesh and blood cannot inherit the Kingdom of God," etc.). Or, was it a purely spiritual glorified body? The latter has always struck me as the better conclusion of the two. And if that be so, how and when did this occur and on what scriptural grounds?
Pastor Bondar provides very persuasive evidence for the latter position based on Mosaic tabernacle/temple typology and the consummation of the physical remains of the animal sacrifice after it was offered and accepted. I had never considered this before but the author walks the reader through it step by step and in what, to me, is a very convincing and well written exegesis.
Look, I read a LOT. Amazon must love me! But only rarely do I come across a book here and there that I can affectionately call "a Keeper." A Keeper is a book that directly helped to radically change my view about an old or unclarified belief I had previously held, and that led me a bit further into a new and compelling truth about something. "Keepers" are, to me, reference books which, no matter where I go, no matter where I live, I will always take with me and keep close at hand. They're great for helping others to discover the same truth that I have seen. I often loan "Keepers" out to others for that very reason (or just buy them a gift copy so I don't run the risk of losing my own!). I give Pastor Bondar's book 5 stars because it moves the conversation forward, it advances the knowledge and experience of the wonder of God in humanity.
Bondar takes the temple typology a step further as he carefully explains & exegetes what the fulfillment of these types in Christ mean to our spiritual reality today.
Are we really in a "holding pattern," an "already, but not yet" kingdom of God?
What Alan does that other authors don't, is he especially focusses on misunderstood, highly significant passages that reveal the depth of our connection to the divine life of Christ. Colossians 2:9-10 for example.
The focus on the TWO veils and the typological meaning of both of them as well as the purpose & deeper meaning of Christ's physicality is something I haven't read about anywhere else, as of yet. His fulfilling of the burnt offering at the dedication of the temple, Himself, at His ascension, was a great observation that I have seen no one else write about.
Alan's book comes full circle while these otherwise brilliant & scholarly men & women are yet to see what he has shown us in the pages of this exceptional work.
Unveil the glory of Christ further in your own life today by reading & studying the grand truths presented in this book!

Christians generally know what happened during the time between the resurrection of Christ and up to and including the ascension. This book takes that knowledge to a whole new level. There is so much I would like to say about it but I feel like saying anything would be insufficient and ruin it. This book itself is a joyful journey and I remain amazed at the glory of God detailed here. I can’t imagine anybody not being thrilled with it.
The Journey Between the Veils has already proven to be of value in my studies so far.
If you have ever had questions about the "glory of God", or wondered what are some things you need to understand to press deeper into experiencing that glory, The Journey Between the Veils is a MUST READ!!!
