What an adventure! What a read!
It is more about what is not written regarding the deeper mysteries and revelations for those that have eyes to see and can put the pieces together.
Those that will be drawn to this book are the ones who are ready to have their DNA activated and remember their Divine identity as crystal guardians restoring the crystalline grid. The "seekers" following a distant memory calling them home.
You can also listen to Leela in a recent interview on Starseed Radio Academy on Blog Talk Radio called Journey Into The Giant Selenite Crystal Caves or see color photographs of her amazing explorations on her website leelasgems.com or thecrystalgiants.com.
Yes, it is a "little book", only 13 chapters. The content is about some adventures the led me to the caves and my personal experience in the caves. I self-published because as a teacher with a small income, I did not find a publisher and/or promotional firm to help get the book done and out there to the world. I did not include color images because it was cost prohibitive as a self published author working with a small budget.
One of the reasons the photos are what you deemed as poor quality black and white ones is, in that extreme environment of heat and 100% humidity, quality images were extremely difficult to shoot if not almost impossible. That was the entire purpose as to why I included them in the book as some of the most earliest images. This was done to be shown as a comparison to the later photographs that the National Geographic team and the La Venta team would show in 6-7 years later after implementing "low tech" solutions to the aggravating issue of malfunctioning cameras.
On our expedition in January of 2001, Carlos Lascanos did not shoot any photos as he was cave exploring along with the rest of us. The images in the book and on my website were not shot by him nor given to me by Carlos. I believe he did not take the first images of the caves when they were discovered in Naica of 2000 since you explained that he took the photos for a 2002 cave literature piece. For further clarity, you are correct! I was the first of two women who explored (not visited) the caves: I was the first American woman and the second woman on our team was a Mexican National.
Also, I chose large print for two reasons: for people who have trouble with their eyesight who might enjoy reading a book without eyestrain for a change, and younger people as well as they learn their reading skills. As for grammar and English, my intention was to provide an enjoyable, easy and fast read for people of all ages from age 10 to 100. It will be published in Spanish using the same middle-school English.
I have taught in many cities in the US and what I continually find to be exciting is the enthusiasm most people have when they see the earliest photos of the giant crystals from a projector on a large screen. I present a story of one of the earliest explorations after their discovery in April of 2000. There is a massive audience out there that loves crystals and use crystals in their everyday lives. Learning how selenite forms and how it is used seems to be a growing subject.
Thank you for your interest in taking the time to read the book. I appreciate it and your dedication to critique books.
