Each page contains an array with the expected intricate pop-up mechanism, often creating three dimensional objects which can be viewed from several angles. The new thing is that each page also contains a three dimensional object that swings in midair. It is really entertaining to see the various vehicles that are created in this way. The illustrations are fun, with one page containing alien creatures that emerge from openings all over the display, and another with a miniature flying saucer that spins. This book is a real winner! All of this is woven together with a story that would appeal to little children - and even to this grandma. Kudos to Luca and Meera Santora... (Will note that the sections that swing free do not always close cooperatively when you try to turn the page, so take care!)

As a collector of pop-up books, this is one of the best I've seen. So many different methods used and the art is fantastic.

Not for really young children as there are too many moving parts and tabs that might break after a little use. But very cool for us enthusiasts.

So around our house we love pop up books. Often too much! This book is one of my top favorites because the pop ups are so imaginative. They have lots of surprise cubbies. In a world of apptivity books it hard for paper to compete. This one does to me. It has a story that boys like and reminds a little bit of how they play and change from one exciting adventure to another. It is delicate so must be stored up high. Other than that its well engineered and will not be damaged by bad pop up design like so many we have had.

Cool book, just a bit complicated. Book has great pop up but some you have to manipulate to get the full effect. Also, parts fall out. In fact the first time I opened this book, a rocket fell out and we couldn't figure exactly how to attach it back in. Don't buy for children under 7 or more.

This is an incredible pop-up book and my 3 year old space crazy son LOVES it. It is fragile so I keep it up and away from him but for us to look at and read together it is fantastic! My husband even loves it.
