Sweet game pad. I'm not a hardcore gamer, I just bought this to play some Gamecube games on Dolphin Emulator on my MacBook. Works pretty well and brings me back to when I was a kid playing my original NES. Feels really solidly built. Setting it up is only slightly finicky because the instructions included don't appear to be correct, but I've found that I just need to hold the on button for a few seconds on the controller and keep it near the computer w/ the bluetooth on and it's discoverable. All buttons / joysticks map perfectly. Only issues is sometimes the controller doesn't recognize the computer (maybe 1 in 20 times I use it). To work around this, I've found that holding the wifi/reset button on the bottom right of the controller for a few seconds makes the lights turn purple so it clears out the bluetooth connections and I just reconnect. Mapping stays memorized in the computer so it's really not much of a problem. Other problem I've had is sometimes everything looks to be mapped right but when I launch Dolphin, the game seems to think the joystick is held in the down direction. Restarting the emulator and controller once or twice has fixed this the 2 or 3 times this happened. Overall, very happy with my purchase and would highly recommend if your use is the same. Just wanted to overly clarify any issues you might run into which ultimately don't affect gameplay. Enjoy!

This little thing is pretty sweet. Not perfect, and until I did firmware update had some trouble reconnecting after turning it off, but after update no problems whatsoever. The D-pad is a little quirky and it's somewhat easy to accidentally hit up and left/right, but you kind of figure out to push on the lower corners and it doesn't happen. I was quite surprised how accurate the thumb sticks are-- at least for how tiny this thing is. I have a SteelSeries Free (now known as the Stratus) laying in a junk drawer now, and that thing is a joke in comparison. If you have average size hands the D-pad is nigh unusable. But that's the Free/Stratus, the 8Bitdo Pro controllers are fantastic and other than R1/L1, all the keys are pretty easy to hit. My recommendation is, if you know the shoulder buttons are going to be important, put the heavier lifting on the R2/L2, it's so much easier to wrap your fingers all the way around the outside than curl up trying to get R1/L1.

The picture kind of made it look bigger, but I'm not complaining about the size (get your mind out of the gutter :P). It's about the the same dimensions of your smartphone, so if you think you want to pocket it, it'll fit. And still bigger and more comfortable than the Stratus.

When I first got it I had the ability to plug it in and use it as an X-Box controller which worked well for indie games I bought this to play. However, I forgot the key combination, tried to look up the documentation, and discovered they abandoned that functionality, deleted all the documentation that explained how to do it, and forced me to use an emulator to do the thing I already knew it could do. Frustrating.

But it's a great controller, even over bluetooth. Responsive and easy to set up. SO I give this 5 stars because it's as good as I could expect it to be.

Not sure how the touch screen emulation thing works. never did get that to work.

I love the portabily of this remote and infinite function

This one of the best gamepad to get for emulation station and even as a day to day pc game gamepad (the L2 and the R2 take a little time to get use to). I've tried this gamepad out with my computer and my android phone no lag present. I use it as a Bluetooth controller with my phone for ps1, snes and nes and wired mode for normal pc games infinite possibility seeing as this controller can be set as a Xinput controller(Xbox controller mode) but the thumb stick are not that good for very very precise movement like aiming in a fps game (you can adjust the sensitivity to reprimand this) . The included cable crapped out on me in less than a month and the USB port of this controller worry's me seeing as at such a small size I'm not sure is durable enough to last for a very long time do I've had this controller and dropped it at to separate occasions (my heart sank) it is fully functional after five months and nothing is wrong with it.

It took a little bit to get set up, but now that I've got the hang of it, it's fantastic!

If you are buying this to work with retropie on a raspberry pi, however, it leaves a lot to be desired. The configs for the UI don't translate correctly to the emulator at all, so you have to manually set things up. And THEN you can't use system-key combinations, like start + select to exit the game. Maybe they will fix that some day, but I think that's on the retropie devs, not on Joyhero.

This thing is great... sucks it doesnt work as a joystick with apple tv because of apples rquirement of some joystick certification. Lots of different modes so if it doesnt work from the get go, it might if you play with it, or upgrade to the latest and greatest.

I've noticed the battery doesnt seem to last too long, but for looks and functionality it was an a+ for my retro arcade.
