These ladies spoil us with all this smutty goodness.
5 stars 'cause I can't give it more.
Can we start all our weeks like this? Please?
This Monday totally didn't suck.
She's been watching the same man for a few days, and when opportunity strikes to get off the streets, even if only for a short reprieve, she takes it, and soon suffers the consequences after being caught by said man.
Smith, a judge, recognizes Nora and the accusations her uncle has raised against her, but he also knows things aren't adding up. First though, before uncovering the truth about what happened, he must control the urges Nora causes in him...except, all too quickly, he realizes he doesn't want to nor can he.
Smith and Nora become more than guardian, by his choice as she repays what she stole and to keep her safe, and charge. They become everything to each other, but her uncle isn't giving up without a fight, regardless of the lines he has to cross.
Can Smith protect Nora? Will they act on their feelings for one another? How will Nora react upon learning the truth about her parents? Is a HEA possible?
One-click now and follow along as these two meet and begin exploring what they know is meant to be. I'm glad this duo continued the Breeding series with this book and hope more are to come. *snicker* On a personal note, I wish their first acts of intimacy were done differently as it didn't come off as such but more of Smith being a jerk, upset how she made him feel, and took it out on her.
**I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.**
Judge (Smith) is amazing. Right from the start he is swoon-worthy, dark alpha, who has no qualms about taking what he wants and going above and beyond to protect what he loves. He is obsessed with and loves Nora. He doesn’t wait and plan, but he acts and is quick to take what he wants—Nora.
Nora is a sweet girl who had a shit life given to her. She has been ignored most of her life, almost invisible to her uncle, and completely invisible to her father. After her father died, she was left with a creep of an uncle to take care of her. She thought that she would be able to live her life once she turns 18, but soon finds out that her uncle has other plans in mind. In order to live her life, she runs away, and gets taken in (or taken) by Smith. She is scared that Smith will just hand her back over to her uncle, or worse, be exactly like him, but he protects her and makes sure that she knows that she is important and that she matters, that he sees her.
Together, they are beautiful and whole. They give each other something they were each missing before they had met. It’s a beautiful, dark, sexy, quick read and very much Alexa Riley. 5 beautiful, happy ever after stars!
