Editorial Reviews

Amazon Customer -Brilliant start to a new series. I have been a fan of JC Ryan's since the first book he published. I have read them all. I have to admit I was a bit worried about how he was going to make the move from his best-selling archaeology mysteries series to crime thrillers. But let me tell you, I was pleasantly surprised. A brilliantly plotted book with a well-developed storyline. The characters have been highly developed and are not type cast or stereotypical in any way. In fact, just the opposite -- no superheroes -- but never afraid to get their hands dirty if the situation calls for it. Ryan writes in a manner that keeps his characters active and alive. The dialogue is excellent and realistic with twists and turns abound that kept me turning the pages to the very end.
Judgment Call was an excellent read, and an explosive start to a very promising new series.
James Conway - My judgement on "Judgement Call." I have read most, if not all, of JC Ryan's books. I am sure that this book is the best to date. Let us hope the he is just setting a new standard, which he will soon exceed. Bravo.
James E. Hobbs - A nail biting page turner. This is going to be a great series. Engaging characters with a convoluted plot that continues to twist up to the last pages. An evil shadow organization with tentacles everywhere makes trust an elusive concept.
K. Jones - Great new series by JC Ryan. Really enjoyed this book! Fresh new characters and a complete divergence from his other series. It is a fast paced book that is hard to put down. I thought for sure I'd put two and two together and figured out who the main mystery person was about 1/4 of the way through the book, but I missed it by a mile! This book has several twists in it that surprised me. I highly recommend this book! Looking forward to the next one!
OldArcher - Mysteries are evolving. Fix your favorite drink, make sure the phone goes to voice mail, settle in, and enjoy "Judgment Call." Wow! Man, it's hard to describe this novel, and no, I NEVER give spoilers... Action, mystery, intrigue, plot twists, great dialog- all wrapped up in a spell binding story...J.C. Ryan is my favorite author, but he really out did himself with this one...Now, three different genres for people to savor and enjoy... "Judgment Call: A Suspense Thriller" is a great read... I'm learning to try and not lose sleep, when confronted with one of his books. Not easy, let me tell you...His books are addictive- and the wait between each and every one is way too long for me. Hey, I'm a geezer, so each moment is an eternity... But for J.C.Ryan's books, the wait is well worth it... He's a master craftsman at his trade, which is in bringing the reader into realms not easily found, but easily believed...
Do I recommend "Judgment Call?" Yes, without reservations or hesitation. Five out of Five Stars! (Only because they won't let me use more!!!)
