Eb is confronted by his family's past as he tries to understand why his sister's vehicle has been bombed and he has been set up as the patsy. While his sister was not in the vehicle at the time, a friend of hers was beside it and blown up. Will Eb find the truth or will the web of lies keep him from saving the people he loves?
This is the only book I have read so far in this series, so it was almost like coming into the middle of a movie. Enough was revealed throughout that gave me some background on the family tree and the underlying dynamics. I hope to read the first book at some point and maybe even other sequels.
Warning: This book is for Mature Audiences due to violence, adult language, and sexual situations.
Judgment Tramp is a thrilling ride that starts from page one and doesn't let up until the end. There are twists and turns and good times all around. I look forward to more from Currie, and recommend this to anyone who likes their thrillers to be non-stop action.
"Judgement Tramp" was a good read. It is a well written, fast-paced, action adventure with intrigue and a dash of romance and lust. Along the way Eb discovers that many things are not what they seem to be; he has been lied to over and over again and he discovers that even his family ties are not what he thought they were. The plot had surprising twists and turns to the very end.
I liked Eb Maclean's character. He is far from perfect; he is a former veteran who is struggling. His life experiences have left him an angry man and his temper works against. But he is loyal to those he cares about; especially his half sister Maggie and his fiance Sarah. He goes to the mat for them. He has strength and determination, and he uses both.
I won't give away the plot as that would take away from seeing it all unfold. It has many twists and turns but not so many as to make it drag. It was definitely exciting and well worth the read. This was a book that I would highly recommend to others and I will definitely be reading more J. D. Currie novels.

A fun thrill ride where almost nothing is what it seems, a car bomb goes off, not in Iraq but in front of Eb Maclean's restaurant in the States.Read more
