I do believe TJ Micheals has watched me in how I live my life. After such a heartbreak the feelings her main character held within mirror my own so much. I loved the connection I could make with this character and pray that I find the one in my life who will let me and help me heal before pushing for more.
This was a very cute story and very well written. This is one of those stories where the saying "Where one closes a door, a window opens." The Twilight Teahouse is an interesting style of a public play space, makes you wonder if there are some that are like it. So you have to read what Solie decides to do.
Ms. Michaels is a new author for me, and I'll be watching for more of her stories. Her plot is rock solid. Her story flows smoothly, and all of her characters, both the men and women, are strong, decent believable, interesting people. Her editing and proofreading teams are excellent.
If you like love stories about people who realize they want and need something more in their relationships, and are willing to reach out for it, this is the book for you.
I found this in an anthology called Mastered. This is a story about a woman making her way back from an abusive relationship. It takes place within the BDSM community, so if you aren't into that kind of books, then this might not be for you. There is only mild play scenes in this book, so if you're interested in dipping your toes in this world, then maybe this is the book for you. It is the first in a trilogy called Twilight Teahouse. We meet Solie right after she's broken up with her ex, after she found out that he repeatedly slept with other people, and may have even left her with a surprise. Ms. Michaels does a great job or showing how Solie moves from devastation to being ready to take her life back and begin again. She finds just what she didn't know she needed with her long-time best friend, Burton. Yummy! There is nothing bad to say about him, and he is so refreshing in that he knows what he wants and just goes for her. Honest and wonderful. I really like these two together and can't wait to see what other relationships happen at the Twilight Teahouse.
