Kids Adventure Learner Jumbo Block Set 48 pc
Got the 48 piece set for my kids - SO MUCH FUN! Boy/Girl Twins age 2 1/2 and 8yo Girl. Build and build and build - we've had robots, chairs, a table, a dinosaur, a hiding box (LOL) a gigantic tower. Just lots of fun - I've been watching the prices so we can expand our set because the photos in the descriptions and the book that came in the box seem to utilize larger sets.
This listing in particular is WAY over priced! [...] <<<----- This set is 24 pcs for $39.99
---- So by my math I could buy 8 sets of 24 and pay $319.92 (SAVING $90 ! ! !)
These blocks are as advertised. They are a little more pliable and a bit softer than I would have guessed - sort of like extra-thick tupperware. I think this relative softness probably makes them somewhat unbreakable, which is good if/when kids fall on them. They fit together very well and bond tightly, resulting in completed structures that are plenty rigid and strong. We have built various houses and castles, most of them with steeply angled stepped roofs, and most large enough for two boys to sleep in. The structures easily supported the weight of two boys - even the roofs, although with boys on the roof I could see some of the joints being stressed a bit too far.
All in all, I am very pleased with the quality, and would reccomend these blocks to any one. I think these will end up being the most-used toys I've ever purchased. They are a bit spendy, but I think they will last (and be used) for years to come. My initial purhcase was two of the 216-piece "jumbo" sets, which was expensive, but in hindsight a good number to start with. If you get too few, you may end up frustrated at not being able to build larger structures. I am already planning to get another jumbo set in the not too distant future.
