As an avid crime fiction reader,Martina Cole is one of my favourite authors...The Jump was fast paced, with lots of interesting characters(some good, some not so good, some just plain horrible)and a good plotline...I purchased this book with the intention of reading it bit-by-bit at night in bed, however,it was such a good read,I literally could'nt put it down until I'd read the whole thing. The book dealt with the unpleasant subject of child pornography, but was done in a way that in no way glorified or minimised it.Also I enjoyed reading about prison life-certainly very brutal at times but also makes you think about the psychological hardships some of the inmates go through while locked up.The bit about the young lad crying on his first night almost made me want to cry. The story was gritty and real and I would highly recommend The Jump to anyone who enjoys Martina Cole's books.Probably the best one of her books I've read so far.

This is maybe one of Martina Cole's best written books and I have read quite a number of her books. This story really got met hooked from start to end and I could not turn the pages fast enough. Good plot and well defined characters. For all the Martina Cole fans out there, this one is a must read!

Brilliant story ! Just did not want to put the book down it was so gripping !
Would think it may be hard for American readers to understand as it is so full of English slang, the story is set in my birthplace and it was great read for me..

I thought this book was brilliant. Georgio commits every deception throughout this book. This would be every wife's worse nightmare to learn what Donna Brunos learns about Georgio. What a waste of 20 years of your life on such scum.

Another great book from Martina Cole who keeps you gripped in the book and shocks you more each time you read on.

I can't help but love her books from the setting to the characters.

I would definitely recommend this book.

Donna Brunos is married to Georgio, who she thinks is a successful businessman. He gets arrested; and she learns who her husband really is; which is a crook and conman. Martina Cole never disappoints!!
