Okay first off Simon Says is so completely original with their lyrics and their powerful use of guitar that I wouldn't compare their musical sound to just anybody. I saw them in concert on Nov.14'99, and they had so much energy that it made their songs even better. I was a fan of theirs before I even saw them in concert. I saw thier video to "Slider"on X-in Concert and immediately went out and bought their cd. The cd is a awesome mix of hard kick ass guitar riffs, the rhythm section adds life to the songs and the vocals are so powerful. They are a very talented band, with a good sense of musical style. I recomend this cd highly to everyone who listens to anything from KORN-Sugar Ray. Go buy this cd!

Any serious Says fan should own this import. O.K. yes, it does cost as much as the Gross National Product of Yemen, but it is well worth it. This import from Japan includes all the songs from the regular length album plus the bonus tracks "My Day" and "Quiet Time". These are excellent examples of where Simon Says has come from. In fact "Quiet Time" has been on the previous three Simon Says independent releases albeit in slightly differing arrangements. "My Day" is a song that was originally intended for Jump Start but got cut early in pre-production. This version is that pre-production recording. The quality of both are excellent. If you are a casual fan of Simon Says I wouldn't recommend this, but you die-hards out there should definitely pick this one up.

If you love hard-core music but are sick of all the screaming then Simon Says is for you. This Sacramento Ca. based band really kicks ass. Beautifully produced by Rob Cavallo of Green Day and Goo Goo Dolls fame and mixed expertly by co-producer Mark Needham who also mixed and produced Cake's last album. This album really expands the Genre of emocore. It's a perfect mix between hard driving guitars, beautiful melodies, and studio production. if you like Deftones then this album is for you

I recommend this CD to everyone! They have so much energy, and many hit songs off this CD. They suit a wide range of music listeners, alternative to punk to hard rock.

i must not be listening to the same record as some other reviewers. i see four and five stars but the record i listen to is not that good. it is good heavy rock with good melody but held down by weak production. there are many styles such as emo and metal being the obvious choices but there is a little punk and some other stuff. i like the voice which is beautiful and intense but the music is weak. there are some songs that just rock but for the most part this cd is weak. their second album holds better production and the song writing is more consistant with less weaker material than this album but this band is far from the saviors of rock or the great band that other reviewers see fit to call them but that is just my take.

This album inspired me more than anything in the world to write music. They have the coolest sound in the world!!!! It's almost startling that they aren't HUGE! i can't even express my emotion for this album. if you like sweet music than definatly look into this album. now their newer album isn't as great. unless you like the F word, and lots of screaming. but these guys aren't simon says anymore. they dropped their record co. and got a new drummer along with a new name..... greatest band ever, they go back to the more mellow sound.

I heard of Simon Says four years ago when i heard, Heartbreaker blaring from my sisters room. They haven't changed much since then, adn i am so happy that they got signed and are able to share there awsome music with the rest of the world. This cd has never left my cd player since April 20th when i got it. Seriously really buy this cd, all of the guys work really hard and they sound soo good. AND no they do not look like NSYNC or do they sound anything like them.

This band came to my school and played during lunch. They were good but they sounded way to much like they were copying tool and limp. I didnt buy the CD cuz they looked like the backstreet boys on it. (they dont look anything like that in person) But I listened to my friends copy and its an awesome CD. I bought it immediatly. They have some awesome songs especially sliders and perfect example. The only reason I didnt give it 5 stars was that I still think they copy tool and limp.
