Step back in time to the golden age of classic comedy musicals.
It’s a small, all-black community at Junction 88 and the pretty Lolly is in love with the songwriter, Buster Jenkins. They want to marry, but they don’t have enough money. Lolly’s father prefers another guy for his daughter who is rich but crude. There’s only one chance for Buster and it comes in the shape of impresario, Bob Howard, who comes looking for the songwriter who sent him his songs! Problem is, Buster didn’t use his real name because he’s black and Bob can’t find him. Will it all work out in the end?

This video is not animated in any sort of a modern way, in fact the animation isn't really that great. Thinly veiled beneath its "kid" story about a porcupine saving Easter is a story about using Solar energy. The Ugly Unks use too much energy and they wast it. Only the sun has enough to energy to save Easter by making the production of colored/decorated Easter eggs possible after the porcupine sets up solar panels on top of the chicken house.
Unbelievably, this tale is somehow actually quite endearing and I think kids of all ages will like it.
This video has 8 musical games on it as well as a "Stretch it Out" song at the beginning and a cool down song at the end. All of the songs show children singing and dancing and doing motions appropriate to each song. One of the songs is entitled "Jungle Safari" and includes video clips of some real animals - crocodile, monkey, and elephants - and then shows the children doing motions to imitate that animal. Another song is called "Keep it Up" and shows children trying to keep a balloon up in the air using different parts of their body as the song instructs. Also included is a rendition of the old classic "Hokey Pokey".
A great choice to get your child up and moving while watching video! If you do all the motions to the video with your child it is a good workout for you as well!
